    FUN FACT: There were 37 1000+ rated pros in the field, and the cash line was only top 36 players. Also, I think there were between 10-20 Tour Card Holders In the field.
    What do you think about all of them playing in the Q Series events?

Personally I haven’t fully finalized an opinion since it’s not productive to my play atm. Maybe I’ll get strong feelings about it later.

    • @Clayton_DG
      @Clayton_DG 4 месяца назад +1

      For me personally, my opinion would depend on my position on the tour. I love to play, so if I was on tour but had a 2 week break on the tour, I'd absolutely play on at least 1 of those weekends. Whether I accept the cash on the day depends on my financial situation. If you're already on a 6 figure contract and played for a little extra cash, that's dodgy. If you played for fun and distributed your winnings to a few people just under the cash line or to a charity, etc, then absolutely go for it. Besides, who doesn't like playing against the top players in the world

      Alternatively they wouldn't have played a tournament or they would have had to go even "lower tier" event, which would have sucked because many pro's aren't swimming in money.. Would see them as benchmark in the event. And if winning money was priority, maybe attend Q series when pro's have something better to do : )

    Dude, you’re doing great. You played above your rating and made your cash goal.
    One thing I’ve learned just playing in local tournaments and dubs and stuff: not performing as well as I could have is different than not performing as well as I should have.
    I have the skills to potentially make a great shot in almost every situation, so in the moment, that’s my expectation. But big picture, I have to accept that I don’t have the consistency yet to make a great shot every time. So making some mediocre or bad shots here and there is not a sign of having played poorly, it’s just an honest reflection of my current ability, which does steadily improve.
    You’re doing great. Keep going!

    EDIT: Also ofcourse having an awesome camera woman is better than a cart.

    Focusing on getting birdies still focuses on a result you can’t control! Focusing on making a good shot, if the wind smacks it or a random limb knocks it that’s okay because you threw a good shot, felt good, smooth, or whatever you focus on! But the result can’t be your focus or it can make a negative feedback loop!

    It's awesome how much emotion you put into these tourneys, making you what a super chill, terribly performing yt video will get you! Lol. I think you should keep doing what you're doing, and just turn off the fear of "non success". Chances are that when you do, youll cash way higher. You're killing it regardless if you make $95 from a tournament or not. And we all know that's actually 95-70ish entry fee. Your grandpa Drew knows this is a journey, keep that in mind and enjoy the process. If you've watched Eagle lately, he has such a good mental approach about success, because like you, y'all are already successful regardless of how long it takes to get to where you're wanting to get to.

I just looked at your putting statistics and if you would have made the C1 & C2 putts, you’d be -7. Crazy 🤪. Good Job , keep it up all weekend and Kick Some Ass Seabass

    Disc golf can be cruel. If you try not to hit a tree, you'll hit a tree. If you try not to grip lock, you'll either grip lock or early release. The only time I ever play good is when I'm not thinking about it at all. Step up, know what shot needs to be thrown and just do it. No other thoughts about it. I know it's difficult, I've struggled with this for years and will continue to. Being autistic I want to have every variable understood and under control. Sometimes that's just not possible. Even when it is possible but very hard, it can still negatively effect me. I have to turn off the overly technical and analytical part of me. Which doesn't leave me with much going on in my head tbh 😂

    Have you thought about speaking to a sports psychologist? I feel like you're all over the place in your head and maybe they can help you out. Maybe on the course it's not as bad as it sounds on camera but it sounds like you're losing your mind.

  • @tonyprime7

    solid shooting man, you held it together and cashed, goal achieved! fight through the slumps and you will come out the other side a more consistent and polished golfer. everyone hits a point after a year or two where it seems like you are getting worse at the game. just try to stay relaxed and at peace. its a skill that builds over time, handling pressure. and when you persevere you gain even more confidence. keep up the good work.

    I’ve been learning over the course of this year that I play my best when it’s boring golf. Just playing the course for what it is. The birds will come. When I force it is when I increase the chances of making a mistake or missing a line. I also have more fun playing boring golf. Great tournament overall. Glad to see you finding the confidence in your game.

    So... it's so weird seeing your cardmates looking away on the green, not just avoiding staring but actually turning around, its their obligation to watch and being able to rule on things they dont see at that time... xD

    • @Thisnameisnottakenjk
      @Thisnameisnottakenjk 3 месяца назад

      Oftentimes players are walking back to their bag after retrieving their putter and the next player is ready to putt, and it is common courtesy to stop and be motionless while another player putts. That is what you are seeing.

    • @Iliyena87
      @Iliyena87 3 месяца назад

      Ofc! But they are not looking at the players feet even in the periphery at any moment of the putt, looks weird but its the same as "I will vote in the players favor since I didn't see anything". The players are the ones calling the rules. Only Nikko have called his own footfault on video from my memory ;D

    • @Thisnameisnottakenjk
      @Thisnameisnottakenjk 3 месяца назад +1

      @@Iliyena87 There are other players on the card that are surely watching other than the one person you see with their back turned.

    • @Iliyena87
      @Iliyena87 3 месяца назад

      Yes, but too see it this extreme on film is still weird for me! Never looked up a rule but it sure is there; "812 Courtesy; B.2 Watch the other members of the group throw in order to ensure rules compliance and to help find discs."
      ...then you can go to C; "A player receives a warning for the first violation of any courtesy rule. Each subsequent violation of any courtesy rule by that player in the same round incurs one penalty throw. A courtesy violation may be called or confirmed by any affected player, or by an Official. Repeated courtesy violations may result in disqualification by the Director." So I as a player can call Courtesy Violation on people that are never watching, just looked weird to ME!
      Thx for making me try find an actual rule! :D
