I'm surprised that the Spice Girls worked out better than thought. They all made a big bag of money each (or so I read somewhere else) b4 they went their separate ways.
I think a lot of the cases, like Danity Kane & Fifth Harmony had to due with mistreatment from the labels. A lot of them were overworked & underpaid, & also the labels/management having their favorites (Camila, Beyoncé, Dawn Richard etc) didn’t help & created a divide in the groups.
With fifth harmony I felt they are all strong singers, I always felt they were all leads camalia has a pretty voice but so do the other girls idk why she was getting all the attention when each one stood out in her own right especially normani being the only black girl in the group that can put pressure on you to wanna work hard and make sure your not lost in the shuffle and folks won't have to say "oh who's thar girl I didn't know she was in the group".
I think it’s because of the “Hollywood beauty standard” and unlike the rest of the girls, Camila is petite and thinner than the other girls, let alone whiter. They are all good singers, but I also think Camila has that pop voice that helped push her more in the group, especially since I know Normani and Dinah didn’t sing on some of their songs, said by Dinah, due to their vocal styles. Honestly them and One Direction felt like they didn’t put singers that fit together vocally, but singers who were all good in a group. But I think they are all talented, just Camila got too much praise (especially by Demi, since Camila just sings over the others, not really better than them).
The Go Go’s and The Runaways weren’t girl groups, their girl bands. I’m honestly shocked you guys didn’t even mention T-ARA (K-Pop Group). One of the members was removed out of the group after a bullying scandal, but actually was due to that member pretending to be hurt and later played the victim, exposed by staff. Honestly it’s sad too, because they were from a small company, becoming one of the biggest groups in South Korea and Japan only to lose a lot of fans to the scandal.
The Supremes. I won't call the band that shit name that Barry Gordon forced upon Mary and Florence. Thankfully, Mary and Diana made up before Mary died.
Absolutely. The most successful vocal group of all time and actually the most successful female vocal group with 12 Number One singles on the Billboard 100.
Being in a successful group or band can end up with you spending days & weeks on end together - it's not surprising that disagreements and grudges can grow. There's plenty more girl groups & bands for another video on this topic - the Sugababes end up with zero original members, Diana Ross did a flop 'Supremes' tour with no other original members in the 90s, the list goes on! Oh, and I should also mention that a lot of frustrations came from how record labels & management treated them - there's some utterly terrible stories about earning very little money from these groups...
It seems to me that there is just a girl versus girl culture, and it's somewhat sad to see TV shows like The Real Housewives just proving it to be true. It's interesting if you look at all of the reality TV shows based around women not getting along and indifferences amongst one another. It's almost as if it's celebrated
Exactly. I feel like it just perpetuates The Stereotype that all women are dramatic, overly emotional, jealous, and always in competition with one another. Or like it glorifies it in a way, trying to make it seem like the norm so people think it is just how your average woman behaves and it's ok to act out in that way. Sad, because right now, especially in the last few years, no matter what we value or believe as individuals, I think more women are coming together and standing strong against how women are portrayed in the media and we are going against the false stereotypes, because a lot of us are not jealous, bitter, or in competition with one another... we would rather stand together with dignity and class, lift each other up and all succeed instead of fighting each other and all looking like uncivilized fools.

Frankly, I was surprised how excited Danity Kane were about being on Bad Boy because basically by that point, what being on that label meant was that Diddy would release two singles from your album and then forget about you (just ask Dream, New Edition, 8Ball & MJG, Mase (during the Welcome Back era, anyway), B5 or Da Band).
They were all pretty young barely in their early twenties when they auditioned for making the band i doubt they knew a lot about the label itself but unfortunately I'm sure they learned a lot about it after signing i pray no other girl group chooses to.

Woods decide to isolated from the group they were ivory and ebony. Aubrey was also an issue with Aundrea. Diddy can't put any money if the girls wan't to be in the group. Kerry Katona left Atomic Kitten just weeks before they got their biggest hit with Whole Again - she was popping up everywhere for a while and it all felt like she was trying to claw back fame she'd just missed out on. I was surprised she got invited back for the reunion in all honesty. I remember the Go-Go's have had various reunions over the years with varying levels of being on good terms afterwards too.

Groups be it guys or gals will always have a difference of opinion problem. That will cause rifts that many times wont end well and spell disaster for everyone, causing many to have to go back to a daily no name job from being a step away from stardom. It is never easy.
I think the problem is a lot of these groups are just put together by outside influence with expectation that the members will just work it out eventually but if you don't give people time to develop chemistry with each other or even check to see if there is chemistry it'll fall apart it's like shaking an angry bee nest.
I don't think the Cheetah Girls were a legitimate group, they were mostly a bunch of actresses, or singers that also acted and they were basically a girl group created just for the actual movie-Cheetah Girls.
