If you haven’t unraveled the sweater yet - you could helical stripe it with the new orange yarn you bought and transition it down to totally the new colour and that would help it blend. I would never have considered it but I’ve just watched a video where someone has done it and the effect is lovely

That’s a really great idea, I can picture the outcome & I like it! I’ll have to see if I have enough of my original color to do that!
I am terrible about weaving in ends! I wear things out and just tuck the ends in. 😂

If I need to match yan I take a picture along or the whole project..take the other orange back..😊.
