I love these old Coronation Streets. I was a kid watching these and my mum was a Yorkshire lass. All this reminds me of the life up there. People were so real
I was up in Yorkshire a few years ago talkin wi a couple of old mates in car parked on a shopping street, it were ot so we ad windas down and this women just sticks er ed in't open winda an starts callin. We all ad a right good old chat an then she pops off just as quick as she popped er ed in. Non of us knew er.
Elliston's Raincoat Factory owned by Councillor Jack Elliston, bought in 1936.His son Jock took it over in 1966. It was sold to the council in 1968 and it was demolished.
All of them so much younger and at the same time old. At this time I still had one more month til I was born. It was 1970 when these icons started becoming extensions of the real people around me....or was it the other way around?

So clever, so beautifully written and funny. What a contrast with 2023.
Another great 60s episode thanks for sharing - Elsie looked fab.
Yes, in fact Pat Phoenix always looked fabulous.
I wish more of these episodes were available. Corrie was so good in these years.
Ty so much for uploading these episodes great fan from nz here.l❤
Wow! Pat Phoenix after successful dieting. Jerry Booth (a great actor) died after 33 years from heart failure.
The Bet Lynch scene reminded me of Victoria Wood sounds just like her.
16:48 Ironically, Violet Carson (Ena) used to play piano for silent movies.
What happened in the bedroom when them two punks came in?
I wonder if anyone recognised the voice over on the nudie film? It was Esther Hayes who left the street a few years before! :)
OMG! Bette Lynch.
Who ran the knickers factory back in 66?

Was she called Bet at this time?
@@jasbegs1258- Yes. She was listed in the end credits as Bet Lynch.
“She’s nowt on”. Made me belly laugh!
10/10
"Little Diana started to take off all her clothes"
NIta Valerie who played the canteen woman in this episode played Ena Sharples in the pilot episode of coronation street.
God, Sheila was gorgeous...
Am I correct that this is the first appearance of Bet??!! I think it was 1966. Didn’t become a regular though until 1970.

Isn't Jerry Booth the image of Tyrone? Could be his father.
Jerry reminds me of of a young Craig Tinker.
Yes he does. As Lucille looks like Angie Freeman, early 90s episodes. 🥰
But you were watching your untouchables
13:46 Annie my daughter is squandering her money on the very same things in 2024 here in the States. Things have not changed much😂❤😂❤
Thought the feller was in other toilet'
Stupid predictive text, meant cellar
Mr Tatlock started to be an old bore about this time
