I'm so grateful for your posting this concert but so wish the audio was clearer. Regardless, you captured topnotch visuals. To me, not even a handful are in Roland's category. He's a literal genius and sadly under-appreciated. At least his devotees know quality!

TFF is one of the few non-hard rock/-metal bands of which I’m a huge fan. RatKoS is seriously underrated in the group’s (small) discography. At a recent concert, each album was represented, but not this one. I know it and Elemental don’t include Curt, but ... Anyway, very cool live footage here. Roland exercises some Axl Rose swaying here and there (haha). The guy is just so badass. Hugely talented. Thanks for posting the video!
IMO, Elemental, RATKOS and Tomcats Screaming Outside, in that order, are the finest LPs in TFF's history although I do love Curt ... but nowhere near as much. Roland was in top form during this period. Now, well, we're all heading that way.
@@wannababrit I believe that all the albums without Curt shouldn't have been put under the name Tears For Fears. Tears For Fears are Roland and Curt. Roland became quiet selfish and arrogant after The Big Chair. Also, tomcats was Roland's first solo album :)
@@LiveNinetyNineWith regard to his keeping the Tears For Fears name sans Curt, I have always felt as you do. (Reminds me of how Steve Perry handled radio play of any Journey music post departure.) And yes, I do know that TSO is only Roland's work' I should have differentiated. Insofar as his egotism, he has admitted to going through a few changes with regard to Curt in both interviews and song(s). His book "Sex, Drugs & Opera" was a bit of a revelation on several levels as well. His introspection is compensation enough for me in exchange for his gifts to his devoted listeners and fans. After all, nobody's perfect.

Puerto Rico fue parte de su gira de conciertos ese año (1996). Tuve el privilegio de asistir a su presentación en PR , el 17 de Julio de 1996. Lamentablemente no tuvo la asistencia esperada, y digo lamentable porque este concierto tuvo una exelente escenografía, y una calidad de sonido impecable.
A pesar de la poca asistencia, el Sr Orzabal nos trato con mucho respeto, y completo su show como si se estuviese presentando ante un millón de personas. Es todo un profesional.

I've seen Tears for Fears twice this year and I'm seeing them again in July it's been amazing but I would have absolutely loved to see this show with the songs from that era and I love Roland!

TFF had a huge impact here in Brazil back in late 80s and early 90s, and they still have many fans around the country until this day. I became a late fan of this unique band a few months ago since I decided to dig into the discography and went beyond the greatest hits in which I already was very familiar with. Tears For Fears for me is undoubtedly on the top of the best music acts to ever be noticed for the mainstream, and they were overrated by their smash hits but even highly underrated for their masterpieces being so overlooked. I love all of their hits, but I think that the entire discography of TFF is a must-have, and all the productions deserving appreciation of everyone. Roland is such an inspiration of an artist in the way he can transcribe anything into a very delicate and well made piece of music. One of the best musicians to live among us, the master of musicality.

The 90"era with the Elemental album.. wow!!..

Não fui a esse show mas valeu a pena assistir a esse registro, a imagem está ótima bem nítida apesar do áudio não está bom e ainda tiveram o cuidado de colocar a lista de musicas cantadas, muito bom. Ver o Roland Orzabal cantando já enche os olhos, e essa performance dele no início é bem diferente das outras apresentações, ele é um gato lindo e talentoso. Amo TFF !!

Incredible sound! I saw this tour at the Avalon in Boston in 96. Easily the best sounding in terms of clarity and quality I’ve ever witnessed, and I’ve seen numerous mainstream arena rock acts. Tears for fears performance chops are fire
