It's fun to watch Little Bear in the videos. She is opening up more and more and being herself in the videos. Little Bear, you are becoming a Star on RUclips!
Way to go ladies! So proud of you for all your accomplishments and always trying to stay positive even when it’s tough! I said I would try to help you with wildflowers when you show them. White Trillium (three petals with white bloom in the center and dwarf iris( iris cristata) the little purple bloom and tiny straight blades. Love seeing Ellie in your closings each day! Love and light back to you too!
What a great hiker hack from NASA hikes with the tripod. Thanks so much for sharing that!! Great job with the climb out of the NOC. Helping you get your trail legs 😊
It’s such a blessing that God provides beautiful views after doing hard things! All we have to do is look. Psalm 3:3 “But You, oh Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.” Provider! 🙌🙏💪🥾
Amazing job climbing out of the NOC bears. The views up top were just breathtaking. Way to grab Type 3 Fun by the horns, and show it who's boss, ladies. 👏✌️
Little Bear 🐻 is getting more comfortable talking on camera. Ellie is becoming a staple in your videos. I find myself anticipating her appearance. You guys are killing it. Once you get to the smoother terrain of virginia and get your trail legs, your miles will increase. Keep up the good work.
I am so impressed with the maturity of Lil Bear, I’m sure you are very proud of her. I’m sure it’s very hard to leave family but look at it as another obstacle cleared.
I watch your video while drinking my morning coffee. What a great way to start my day. It had to be so hard saying goodbye to your family. The climb was hard but the views were amazing.
Good morning, Mama Bear and Little Bear. So sad to leave family. Maybe they took off first so you couldn't decide to go back home with them. Your family closeness is so neat. And that the closeness contnues with such distances between you is especially neat. I've heard lots of hikers comment on how hard the climb is out of the NOC. The scenery today was absolutely awesome. WOW. I was impressed. It's interesting that each hiker you follow shows you different things. Some things you see often but from different perspectives. Great to see Ellie again. Missed her over the weekend. Ya'll are doing so well, especially on the rough days. I love hearing the character builders and the highs at the end of each day. Thanks for sharing those. Ya'll hang in there. Take care of each other. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.
Everytime anyone asks me what the most challenging part of trail was for me, I say the climb out of the NOC. There were harder climbs, but I had my trail legs for those! I remember vividly sitting on a log with my head between my legs because I was sure I was going to pass out. Luckily a friend stopped by and hiked with me the rest of the day. Good job accomplishing a tough climb!
That climb was difficult and made even more so by the hot temps and humidity. Plus, we were sad our family left that day, too. Either way, I have no interest in ever doing that climb ever again. 😂
Wow. The colours in the view after you left the crest where you met Nasa were gorgeous. Color isn't always best on camera, but the stripes of color from the grasses in the foreground to the hazy mountains in the far back ... 👍 Hmm .. Type 3, eh? Worse than Albert?

Those pictures and videos just keep getting better and better thank you so much for taking us on your journey with you
Genius! I'm gonna do that. Thank you. I already follow him. I'm about 30 miles behind you guys. Lol. I like watching your videos to see what i got to look forward to. Thanks for the warning lil bear. Lol. Safe travels through the smokies! God walks with us.
You young ladies are doing so well. What an adventure. Y’all have made my Monday start out on a positive mental note! Thank you for your videos and God bless!!! I think Little Bear is the leader of the hike. She has the maturity of an adult and it reflects from Mamma Bears Godly raising of Little Bear. 🎉
A hard day, having to leave your family, then make the infamous climb up out of the NOC. Glad you had those beautiful views to offset the difficulties. Loved LB's creative picnic table. And you gathered more friends along the way :-) As always, enjoyed the wrap-up by both of you. Look forward to your continuing adventures. God bless you!
Great job conquering the climb out of the NOC. The entire trail is full of Type 1,2,3 Fun. Sometimes, they happen simultaneously!! You're doing a great job just taking what the trail gives you and pressing on. That's the key to a successful thru hike! God bless and enjoy the Smokies!!!
Thanks for your reply. I recommend you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point Moses peak. Add these sound in your bucket list. When you guys want to come, be sure to get in touch. And make sure to enjoy this sound. The complete update about the journey and route of this mountain is fully written in the description of my video. You can watch it right there on my channel۔ That's why I recommended Moses Pack to you. Because I myself have climbed this mountain many times every year with tourists. More than seven times. Because it goes up this mountain path from my village and I know these paths very well.
Whoop whoop! Way to go on working through the challenges both mentally and physically. I wish I found y'alls vlog sooner ( before y'all finished) Go Momma Bear for taking this amazing time with your daughter. There is so so much that can be learned/discovered on trail that can apply in normal everyday life. A big one is working through life's hurdles. I absolutely loved the fun type. Keep it up❤
Good afternoon! Family time! Rested recovered! Leave miles behind you!! Adventure awaits you both! Enjoy! Northbound No Bust! Go Mama Bear and Little Bear!! 🙂 Be and Stay in Good Spirits! 😊
Cheering you both on. I’m at Hiawassee. Will I ever get out of Georgia? Lol. I started April 2. My best day has been 9.7, and I feel like I’m not getting anywhere. On these hills I’m climbing 30 ft and stopping 3 minutes. That’s just what I’m having to do until I get stronger. Loving the journey though.
That rock knife y’all climbed down is no joke! Very difficult turns and seeing straight down on both sides! Well done! The family reunion at NOC was very heart felt! Yall are doing great, keep up your pace, increase as you feel ready. Riverrunner
Precious. Little Bear is such a treasure & glad you have each other to hike together or it might be even harder to continue. I just think the military that has family away for years at a time has to be one of the hardest things. I worked at a post office w/ a military base nearby. So many both husband & wife ate military & have 3-4 kids.
It’s a lot better with telecommunications, virtual zoom, phones, cell phones, email, etc My husband had a shoebox full of letters he wrote his family at the time he was in vietnam… think back to ww1 and ww11 And civil war. Now it’s a breeze. Still hard, the distance, but can you imagine?!!!
Great to hear u have better weather today, but I'm sure the climb made it just that harder when you're hot. Love the mummy daughter connection you both have. Enjoy this week and keep sharing those spectacular views. 😊
Good morning to you both! Beautiful day for a hike. Love the steep trails and mountain views. Thanks for sharing the rock formation! If you have a chance you should come back to the area to experience deep snow. 😅It's beautiful. Happy hiking to you! Be careful stay safe and enjoy your Hike. 🚶 🏕 🍳 🔥 😊 🙏
Great day for climbing out of the NOC. 😊 sad day for saying goodby to family!! 😢. But all and all another great day on trail for you both! Thanks for sharing those beautiful views and the sweet memories with your family! Stay safe & Hike On! 🥾🏕️🐻😊👍🧗♀️😎🙏❤️
🚶♀️🐻👟👟🚶♂️🐻😺👟👟⛺ 🌞 that was some really neat rocks coming out of NOC you had lots of great views I know you all had a great visit with the family great morale booster stay safe and happy hiking 💯♥️
Congratulations 🎉 on making that hard climb! ❤ You both are amazing and strong! The male voice at the end threw me for a loop for a second 😂 Looking forward to Day 22 vlog! ❤
So proud of you guys. Hard days are hard but leaving family has to make it even harder. One foot in front of the other. Enjoying the videos so much. Have a great time and know we are praying God’s blessings over you both!!
Type 3 was the hike up out of the NOC part? For you as fit and well equipped prepared - eeek. Glad it's behind you. Please keep this as a gauge to weigh future climbs in comparison. Will be helpful to know what comes up that are HARDER than that. Thanks for considering.
Wow, that had to be a hard climb. Bigger than anything I ever did on the trail. Loved the rock structures and other views along the way. You both continue to amaze us. My wife is now a fan also. We start every day looking for your new video. Prayers for your continued safety.
fontana dam, that reminded me of our hike many years ago. started our hike there and walked up and passed shuckstake tower and beyond to camp on a backcountry trail. somehow we lost our scoutmaster and 3 of us walked back to the dam to find him. we found him sitting in the doorway to his motorhome where he spent the night. his knees couldn't take the hike and some day packers got him back down the mountain. end our trip short at clingmans dome that year. great memories, miss those hikes. it seems the trail has gotten almost too popular these last few decades. wasn't always like that.
Great hiking ascending out of the NOC! Well done! Those rock formations are some of the best of the trail! It’s always sad after family visit, normal, they head back home to their task and you both pick up your task on trail. Videos are great keep up the great job! Riverrunner
I’ve camped at Cheoh (sp) bald and is my favorite!! Also never say never as I’ve now climbed out of the NOC 4 times. You miss the AT so much when you are done you just want to be back ❤
I think your climb out of the NOC seemed the easy! I know it’s a hard climb, but oh what a nice day, and the views! On to the Smokies! Elle the cat loves coming along with y’all!
Great to see you both on the trail again but could feel your emotions of wanting to be with your dear family. Boy at the beginning, those rock formations it appeared as though they were defying gravity, like they were just going to tumble out and smush you both. It was scary. Enjoyed the views and loved the end especially seeing Little Bear’s Miss Elle making her guest appearance again! 😊. Happy trails 🐱🧸🐻🥾⛰️🙂
Outstanding awesome beautiful vlogging, hiking and scenery, always bittersweet leaving loved ones and returning to your other home away from home on trail, wishing you both all the very best, health and happiness.
Well you 2 are warriors doing that climb, because I wouldn't of guessed it was that bad by your vibes. I might of been crying a lil, Lol. And even now, while you're talking about it, you're both laughing. Im not doubting you at all. The angle of the mountain from where the trail was looked like it went straight down, on the video. I even said, holy cats! when I saw that. But you did it and its behind you now. Great job, Yay! I hope y'all had a good nights rest. As always, great video and I look forward to the next one. I hope for happier trails for you both on the next miles. Keep on keeping on. Be safe✌️🫶
It is hard to say goodbye. I don't know what plans to meet up with them on the trail but for you are walking away from your home state. You two still have lots to see and do. So enjoy your hike.
Just think, if you hike SOBO, that climb today is a descent..it looks a lot nicer going SOBO, not as long and steep. Great job! You are nearing the Smokies🎉
I am not sure why this came up at this date but it was nice to see you back during your 1st month on trail. I so miss your trail vlogs yet I throughly support your reasons for leaving the AT. But glad to know you will be doing some more on the AT. ❤😊
It came up on my timeline today, too. RUclips algorithms are interesting. Nonetheless, I watched it and enjoyed reminiscing! Home is where our heart is, but we’re excited to do another LASH next year! We miss the AT. 😊

Great job ladies! In spite of the difficulty leaving family and the very long climb YOU DID IT! Keep on hiking you’ve got this!

Love that you pushed thru on a hard mental and physically challenging day❤❤❤ You guys are doing great!
Great job "pressing on" those steep, difficult climbs! Jesus walks with you and He "holds on to your hands!"😊❤
If things are hard, you never let it show. You guys are so positive and joyful 💖 I love following your journey
There have definitely been hard moments for sure. We just try not to let those emotions overcome our joy and determination. 😊

Thanks for the motivation you give. I said to myself many time…Little Bear ran through this, so can I.
A hard day, having to leave your family, then make the infamous climb up out of the NOC. Glad you had those beautiful views to offset the difficulties. Loved LB's creative picnic table. And you gathered more friends along the way :-) As always, enjoyed the wrap-up by both of you.

The climb out of NOC is steep and long but actually one of the better trail condition hard climbs of the AT.
Hard to get back on the trail after a few days off. Y'all handle it like pros. Keep up the great work. ❤and🔦

Whewwww! I totally agree about the hike out of the NOC! It was such a tough one. Y’all are rocking this hike though. Even the type 3 kind of fun. 😂😂
It is hard to say goodbye. I don't know what plans to meet up with them on the trail but for you are walking away from your home state. You two still have lots to see and do. So enjoy your hike.
Hi... it would be great if you made an AT Playlist. That would help me and others catch up. Sometimes YT's "next" video algorithm is wonky.
Just think, if you hike SOBO, that climb today is a descent..it looks a lot nicer going SOBO, not as long and steep. Great job! You are nearing the Smokies🎉
Isn’t it great? This was truly #1 fun 🤩
You are basically in my back yard on this section. Can walk to Locust cove in 2 hrs from home
7:37 " Yeah, I think it's Something Gap." Really narrows it down doesn't it 😂
