when I saw this video I was greatly proud to be a member of the the church of God in Chirst.and saving the best for last Dr.Mattie Moss Clark the Author of this song is yet being heard even as she is with the Lord. I was having trouble at the time I saw this and it was as God was talking through Dr Clark to me. Thank God for a mountain to Climb I'm almost there in Jesus name I'll keep moving up!

Couldn't sleep tongight, so got on RUclips to see if I could find something to jump start my morning. Gotta say, cause I'm not ashamed, I had to put the laptop down and shout around the basemnt just a little bit. God is Good! So glad we're nearer the top of the mountain!
I thank God for the apostolics. I have to go to a real Pentecostal church like this for this kind of joy filled worship. Unfortunately, there is a stiffling of the Spirit at my church. I pray for revival, so we can worship God with the freedom He has given us.
Well, you can pass judgement on people if you wish. But Bro. J-Dean is visiting my church this weekend, and I get to play back-up keys with him. It's always a blessing when he comes to lead worship. Our worship team is always invigorated when he leaves. Maybe it's the additional prayer meetings he encourages us to have, or the fasting and devotion he tells us worship leaders can't do without. Then again, maybe it's his spiked up hair, or funny colored shoes.

Apparently you misunderstand. I LOVED this music. What I cannot tolerate is the "new" praise and worship and contemporary styles that people like Jonathan Dean and others are doing.I am in full agreement with what you said about worship.
The thing I always seem to notice is that the "Apostolic" music that we love so much has, at its roots, blues, rock, and african rhythms and melodies. ALL music borrows its sounds from other places. So before anointing the music you LIKE, and disregarding the music you DON'T like think about where YOUR music came from in the first place.

The new music is popular with people who are comfortable with worldly styles of dress, funky hairdos, and pop culture in general.
That's interesting. You see, I'm reading a terrific book by Bro. Tenney about the history of the Pentecostals in Louisiana. In the second chapter there's a insanely appropriate quote from Howard Goss about how different "church" music was from "worldly" music PRIOR to the outpouring of the Holy Ghost. But the Holy Ghost was "impossible for people to ... express their abounding joy... in the reserved style typical of 'sacred' music." It seems to me that the pioneers of modern pentecost...
I've already posted, on another song's page, that I can hardly stand the newer songs. A friend of mine calls them 7-11 songs: the same 7 words 11 times. They are extremely shallow. If you read the Psalms, a more Biblical standard for songs of praise, they are not shallow and simple as today's 7-11 songs. Why we took out the hymnals and put up the big screens is beyond me.
All those who would call modern worship music "too close to the world", I wonder how close to the "world" the music of the Hebrews sounded. My guess would be that is sounded exactly like the music of the day.
@sensibleadult this music was raking cues from another worldly genre as well. Look at it this way throughout history the evolution has flown the same. In fact rock music came from blues which came from gospel. What I'm trying to say is worldly music and religious music is in a constant rotation. Anointing is in the words in the power not in the genre or chord progressions. If you don't believe a rock song that says Christ is the solid rock or how he's our sweet redeemer is not as anointed asan
