Something about this page really speaks to me - I love it!! I've always had trouble sleeping--sometimes I would only sleep every third or fourth night. The rest of the time my brain was like a hamster in a cage! Now I use a muscle relaxant that gives me lots of deep sleep but doesn't make you feel hungover the next day and is still working after taking every night for about four years!! I have chronic pain, so it's very important to have that deep sleep.
Nik would you believe that I never thought to use all my 12x12 this way! Make a layout first then add it to the book! Genius!! That’s why all these videos are so important. These tips help me enjoy my hobby!!

One time I was making an envelope out of a book page. I spent a good hour, piece of vintage lace I held onto for ever, sewed on it, etc, Probably the best thing I ever created .. just when I was ready to attach to the journal one of the most offensive 4 letter words EVER was staring back at me. I couldn't believe it. Needless to say I scan ever book page I use 😄. Love your work, one of your biggest fans!

Just wanted to share a tip.... I got really cheesed off buying expensive inking applicators, and couldn't afford the new Distress Ink Blender Brush from Ranger. So I bought some inexpensive make up brushes and use those! I love them, the effects can be as subtle or full on as you like. And a set of 3 from EBay for 99p didn't break the bank! And once again, I love your work, Nik. Not to mention your vids! 👍🏽🎈

yes, just do one page, then you'll be hooked! If you build the collage outside the book, you can get it just right before it goes in. Less pressure that way =)

Yeah...Right! Sounds like fun though. Love the page you put together.

The glue is still cheaper by the case than with the coupon (I checked!) lol - I want to know how many of those inker tools you go through in a year distressing everything! Beautiful page! I am a card carrying member of the insomnia club. I go to sleep anywhere, anytime, but I can never stay asleep. Pain wakes me up - always. When I am alert enough to realize that I am awake, I use that time to pray for everyone else who is awake at that time of the night. So...you are in my prayers! :)

Re; sleep, I have a medical condition which causes insomnia & some of the drug-free things my doctors have recommmended to help are - get some exercise in the fresh air during the day; establish a calming routine in the evenings which doesn't involve work or using electronics & which includes things like a warm bath (not hot) & a glass of milk (no dairy-free milk, only if you can have cow's milk), as it contains a naturally occurring chemical which promotes sleep & lastly, a guided self-hypnosis CD for sleep (they can take practice to be effective) made by a proper hypnotherapist. Good luck :)

Like, don't look at emails at night, you're mind's working overtime reading & taking in info, then when you wanna sleep, you're in overdrive. Read them first up, if you can & leave nights to relax a bit. Just thought I'd throw that in. Give it a try for a while & see if you can sleep better.
