    Great video thank you. One question with such a strong grip how do you release the club through the ball? Ive tried this with reasonable success but feel like im holding on to the club face after impact. thank you in advance for your answer Paul

    • @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples
      @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples  3 месяца назад

      Hi Paul! Thank you for your comment! Honestly the release should happen organically with your hands that strong on the grip. If you feel like you're holding on I'd check your grip pressure and make a more aggressive attempt at releasing it manually. In other words, let it go! 😂

    I am a lefty too and only just started playing again after serious knee and back injuries. Was always a slicer before the injuries but now seem to battle a snap hook some days and slices again other days. Handicap has blown out to 15 now. Any tips on swing planes? Have found an upright swing plane hurts my back less but makes me slice

    • @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples
      @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples  Год назад +2

      Hi Dave! Thank you for your comment. Injuries are tough! So there is a very flat swing, a very upright swing and everything in between. I'd experiment and self discover in the "in between" until you find a ball flight you like and most importantly doesn't hurt. All the best!

    Nice to see a lefty giving instructions finally. I must say though, I spent my whole life automatically translating what a right hander says to do it left handed, now my brain is broken since I don't have to think backwards. Lol. Thanks for the lesson.

    I'm enjoying this lesson, but did you make a mistake at 9:30? Close face, then get your grip. Then, right after, grip first, hood the face next. Nevertheless, I'm enjoying the content and will look at your other videos. Thanks.

  • @marcg1964

    Beginning at 9:32, you contradict yourself. You initially say close the face first, but then you say grip first. Which is it?

      @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples  Год назад

      @@jermaineboyette2493 great question and unfortunately not a simple answer. The best thing to do is some experimenting and self discovery on the driving range. I'd start with it excessively closed and if it's hooking too much close it less. I appreciate your kind words! All the best!
