"Wandavision" was inspired by many classic sitcoms, and perfectly mimicked their styles. They even brought on Dick Van Dyke as a consultant on the first two episodes, to make it look more authentic.

You could have done 10 more:
Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color and Batman made buying color TV sets essential, plus they added cinematic language to TV productions (Batman's use of Dutch angles for the villains' viewpoints, and the use of animated overlays, for example)
The Prisoner, for several reasons, not the least of which was pioneering the mini-series.
Dr. Who. Seriously? How is this show not on the list?
Get Smart: Political satire on top of expertly dissing the espionage genre popular at the time?
I Spy, too often overlooked for it's two lead characters, one black, one white, neither of whom was a "sidekick". One the first Emmy ever given to a black actor as Best Actor.

The Twilight Zone was a show on two levels: to the mom and pop viewers it was eerie stories. But to the political aware American, it was an ardent protest against racism, mindless materialism, and the McCarthyist censorship. In fact it was federal policy that forced each network to adopt policies that no current political controversy could be discussed in any entertainment show. Rod Serling overcame that repression by disguising many Twilight Zone plots as neighborhood spats when they were clearly clarion calls against the Red Scare hysteria.

Before watching the video, I wondered whether #1 would be I Love Lucy or The Dick Van Dyke Show, so I was surprised to see that the latter "only" got an honorable mention. I would personally put it in the top 10 over Gunsmoke (whose influence didn't much outlast its own run) or The Lone Ranger (I think Star Trek did more for representation than The Lone Ranger did, and Star Trek's influence on later shows was much stronger than The Lone Ranger's was).

I've been a Trekkie since the original series (which I saw in reruns)! I was a bit disappointed that the clip featured Sulu in a scene that emphasized Asian stereotypes. On a happier note, two bits of trivia: 1) Star Trek directly influenced the decision of the International Space Station to have a Science Officer and 2) When Dr. Mae Jamison was selected as an astronaut, Nichelle Nichols contacted NASA to congratulate her. She kept getting bounced from office to office because all the Trekkie-loving scientists wanted to talk to Lt. Uhura!

2 shows overlooked…. Candid Camera and The 64,000 Question. Candid Camera was not only the idea that normal people being filmed can be entertaining but also the foundation of You Tube and Tik Tok. The 64,000 Question not only was the #1 show in America in its debut season… it showed that the dream of big money possibly won would draw viewers at a low production cost. It started the trend still today and also started the “fixed” outcomes which lead to The Quiz Show scandal that changed American television and how it was financed. So this little game show not only started the concept of watching games from Who Wants To Be A Millionaire to High Stakes Poker. It also took sponsors away from programming which lead to safe shows, quick cancellations before shows could develop, and the creation of fake drama.

4:14 - In one of my favorite occurrences of life imitating art...
"The real badge #714 belonged to Sgt. Dan Cooke, the technical advisor on the series. Sam, who knew Webb for close to 40 years, was very clear that in spite of his obvious quirks and sometimes ruts, Webb and the Dragnet organization were strong supporters of police departments. So it was appropriate that following Webb's death December 23, 1982, the L.A.P.D. ordered flags flown at half-mast, then permanently retired Joe Friday's badge number 714, where it is now displayed at the LAPD Academy's Museum."
