I show how to make a tradition native american style round net carry bag using only two simple knots. This is a fairly small basic netting project but it teaches the basics so it can them up-scaled to make a whole range of bags, traps and nets. Check out Australian survival instructors video on how to make a dilly bag (kind of the Australian version of this) , he made it from scratch. Also take a look at Bushcraft survival Australia for some good vids on cordage making :)
That’s awesome & a gorgeous location!!
Brilliant video, very easy to learn from
Thanks mate :)
What about baskets do you have any videos on that?
How would you make one of these if you wanted to hold something larger? Like the bottom folded to the size that was ok for your bottle but wouldn't be if you were trying to use it for a bucket or something?
Simply super
Thank you for a beautiful and useful video. Do you have one for the dilly bag? Thanks
Hi thankyou , I'm glad you liked it please subscribe and share for more it would really help me out :) . I may be making a dilly bag video in the future but I am not too good at making them yet so I want to get some more experience before I try to teach it. I am working on a video now on how to make primitive sandals out of old clothes for those stuck inside the house with no access to natural materials. ASI channel has a good dilly bag video here's the link. ruclips.net/video/CS0LOciVOvI/видео.html
Thank you looking forward to watching your next video and hopefully one teaching the dilly bag. I like your clear instructions and I'm confident you will be great teaching the sandals as well as the dilly bag. Great Day
Dude it's superb. but I need without knot last row. Any suggestions
thanks, glad you liked it. I'm happy to help but not sure what you mean ?
You made this with 10 separate threads. I need single thread finishing
@@karthikeyan1847 hmmm ok still not 100% sure what you mean sorry, my only idea would be you could clump all the threads into two groups of 5 then reverse wrap them together creating one single thick rope at the end, hope that helps. Otherwise check out different designs there are lots of patterns you can use to make nets and bags.
Gorgeous location, I love the babbling of the water, but the camera is so shaky/jumpy it's literally making me nauseous [that's probably why you have downvotes, fyi]
Fair enough sorry about that I used a tripod when I can but I don't have a camera man so it's not easy to film, explain and perform an action all at once . I'm using an old gopro which has no screen so filming is pretty tricky. If I can afford a better camera in the future I'll get one but I'm not too concerned with 3 dislikes with nearly 3000 views it's not like I get paid for this
Could you use a tripod and redo this video on a table please? It's hard to see in this vid.
