      They might actually risk their chance of losing. This was a lactic acid attack caused by fatigue that caused the runner to collapse and it was perfect timing before the finish line. Other 400m runners who were winning wasn't as lucky as they collapsed 10m from the finish line and got last place.

Shaunae proved that stumbling over her feet from exhaustion was no fluke as she did the same thing the following year at the 2017 world championships where she was winning and dominating the race with 50m to go and this time she did not fall but she did ended up falling to a 4th place finish.

    What's so funny, is no one had anything to say when the USA dive over the finish line in 2008 to beat the Bahamas in the mens' race putting the US in third place stripping the Bahamas of a medal (go look it up). No one was contending the rules and being bitter. No one cared about The Bahamas' loss. But when the Bahamas does the EXACT same thing to the USA 8 years later, uproar!

    • @edwardjones717
      @edwardjones717 3 года назад

      When sprinting 400m there is no guarantee that you will end this race on your feet due to lactic acid fatigue which is very common in the 400m. There have been people collapsed after crossing the finish line or there have been people who was clearly winning and 10m short from the finish line collapsed from exhaustion and didn't finish and was lifted up and carried off the track. The honor system is collapse and win or collape and lose.

There have been people who was clearly winning the 400m race with 10m to go and collapse and wasn't able to finish the race and was lifted up and carried off the track. That said if there are no rules against diving/falling to the finish line then she has not done anything wrong. Accusing her of cheating is silly. Finally, I cannot say if she fell or dived in a desperate attempt to win the race, only she knows that, arguing for either also does not make sense. That said, I wished Allyson Felix had won this race, but she didn't according to the rules, and her fans must accept that.
