That sheriff needs to go. Wasting police resources and abusing his authority is not a good look for a cop.

If a citizen had called the cops about a screwed up Burger King order, they would have been laughed at. So yes, calling your subordinate over a hamburger is an abuse of power. Not a good look for you, sheriff.

Really? There are 2 sides? He called his deputies for a burger order and demanded to know the name and address of the manager so he could harass and stalk the man.

Egg allergies do exist and they are an ingredient in mayonnaise, if not that then soybean oil, and finally citric acid. Still doesn't make his actions any better.

Mayonnaise on a hamburger doesn’t warrant a call for service. People who call the police over minor inconveniences should themselves be charged. I’m sure he used his position to get officers out there and he probably did do something to make the employee fear for their safety.

Mayo is terrible though 😂. This does feel like a reverse Dylann Roof but at least nobody was harmed unlike with roof getting burger King when arrested after shooting people. Vid does show you that a refund is more convenient than fighting people when they goofed.

Fast food places occasionally get my order wrong, and I don't behave like him. The full video with audio shows this man's real ego but he acted calm/ polite for TV. Vote him out.

I call bullsh×t on the sheriff. Just from the tiny bit of video they showed you can see and hear that he was being an a$$. This was a civil matter and he knew it. He was trying to scare the manager. As a food service work with 40 years of experience I can say that restaurants will work hard to get a order right and will only react like the manager did when the customer behaves aggressive.

Soooo....if a civilian calls the police out for something like this they would be charged at the very least with misuse of the 911 system. The fact that he can still sit there a year later and not take ownership of his F up, he should be charged just like anyone else would as that is a total misuse of power and the police system!!
If the Sheriff wasn't smart enough to realize his approach to his problem with the Burger King order was going to be bad, then you know he's doomed to repeat his bad decision-making on other simple issues within his department. Clearly, it's time for a new Sheriff--one who can analyze problems and issues and comes up with reasonable solutions or actions. You need a Sheriff with Integrity, Ethics, Scruples, Honor, Honesty, and Respect for his constituents.

So he wasted time and resources because he was mad about a sandwich. First of all, anyone with allergies knows you have no safety guarantees for food not prepared at home so they chose to take a risk. Also, the fast food industry has notoriously terrible service (almost universally) so again, an additional risk. There needs to be an ethics investigation ASAP.

You can die from some food allergies. If I had a wrong order and they refused to correct it or refund me I'd be mad too. Thats a totally reasonable request. I'm be mad, especially if they locked the door on me. I wouldn't have called the cops but can definitely see why they were both mad as hell.
