Dying Fetus was formed in 1991 in Maryland and spent years in the trenches... John Gallagher (guitar/ vocals) has been the only consistent member - their music is defined by his 'crunchy' guitar sound which makes Dying Fetus a top-tier death metal band. Originally, Jason Netherton (vocals/ bass) formed Dying Fetus... he left to form his band Misery Index. Kevin Talley (drums) joined in 1997 and he became a prominent drummer, after he left, for numerous bands, including Chimaira... Daath ... Sex Feet Under. Dying Fetus established themselves w/ killer death metal records like 'Killing on adrenaline'... 'Stop at nothing'... 'War of attrition'... The band became a trio w/ Sean Beasley (bass & vocals) and Trey Williams (drums)... since 2007 and have grown in popularity since, w/ stellar records like 'Reign supreme'... and their latest in 2023 - 'Make them beg for death'.
Reacting to tech death is probably a good idea if you're enjoying Dying Fetus and Death and want to hear what the modern extreme metal scene is doing... Try the song "Omnipresent Perception" by the band Beyond Creation or the song "Drone Corpse Aviator" by Archspire. Both have music videos up on RUclips. If you want something even more compositionally and technically complex and just want to jump into the deep end, try the song "Apparition" by the band Spawn of Possession. There's no video for that one, but you should be able to find the track on RUclips or Spotify with relative ease. That being said, both Beyond Creation and Archspire are both incredibly impressive, both in terms of composition and technical ability, but they're definitely easier to ease into than Spawn of Possession if you have little or no experience with the genre. Really, you can't go wrong with any of those three songs and no matter what you pick I'm sure you'll be impressed!
"This is just the right amount of evil for me." I'm borrowing this. I know they're more popular, but..., Meshuggah - Bleed has some wild drum grooves and would be a cool reaction too.
SIX FEET UNDER - The Enemy Inside - from 1995 Album: Haunted. 1st real heavy song I ever nailed on the drums. Sepultura took forever to copy Igor Calavera. Slayer and GWAR took along time as well. @moosh check’em out
I enjoyed your Zepp and Metallica tier lists. Love DF, seen them live twice. You should also check out Morbid Angel, another very influential death metal band. Altars of Madness is a classic. Their first 4 albums are staples of the genre. Covenant is probably considered their pinnacle.
Have a listen to Misery Index. Jason Netherton (sorry if that’s spelled incorrectly) is ex Dying Fetus. I put their first album retaliate up there with the best of the Dying Fetus albums! Just my opinion
Vengeance Unleashed by Dying Fetus 💯 Also I am no one to tell You what to do But check out a band called The Warning and their song Automatic Sun live at VMAs... 🎉
You should do a Cannibal Corpse reaction. I'd say Hammer Smashed Face. That seems to be their most popular song. And if you dig the growling vocals, you'll probably like mine... watch?v=3rHt73lRLCs
OMG, I could recommend SO many things. I'll keep it simple though. Umm...try anything from Old Man's Child. They're getting back together I believe, so why not. If I had to pick a song though, maybe Passage To Pandemonium. But it's all good. Do that one, if ya dig it, pick another.
Hello Moosh How are you? Great what you do 🤘🏻💪🏻 I already subscribed to your channel. I wanted to recommend you my band is called DESECRATED CONSCIENCE Our first album is titled "Sacrifice" we are from the city of San Juan Argentina I hope you like it!!! Big hug 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷

I recommend Wintersun - The Way of the Fire. It's from the album Time II which was, after many difficulties, released this year but recorded in 2006.

Behemoth - Slaves Shall Serve
Go for it
I grew up in the death metal era but left it for things like Meshuggah.
Fan boy since 1991.....
DARVAZA - "This Hungry Triumphant Darkness" live at KILKIM ŽAIBU XXIII

Bleed the future or Golden mouth of ruin with Archspire should not disappoint.

My condolences to you for having to suffer through one of the most mediocre death metal bands. Ever.
