Hi doctor, I wanna know, if we provoke a pulp exposure during deep caries excavation, should we do a direct pulp capping or a pulpotomy/pulpectomy (since the lesion was extremely deep)? Thank you.
Hi Younes, glad to hear from you. Check out for clinical symptoms and radiological features. If asymptomatic, if exposure is small, if haemorrhage is easily controlled and if the exposure occurred in clean and uncontaminated scenario, you can go for direct pulp capping. You can get back through mail for any further queries or assistance. Best wishes & love. proudtobedentist@gmail.com

In pulpotomy we amputee the part of affected pulp... In the DPC we just seal an orifice... and btw de diameter of the orifice has to be less than 2mm... Anyway IMO the indication is to devitalize the dental element.... Cuz in both cases the risk of introducing bacteria into the pulp chamber is so high even if we use the rubber damb... Cheers from Italy! P.S: Eugenol has the propriety to deteriorize the dentine. P.S 2: Use composits and not amalgam.

Hi Akansha appreciate your feedback. I have no idea about the words which you are talking about. Usually if I put any words, I neither use wrong spellings nor use short cuts to maintain standardisation. It's auto feature where the youtube software automatically converts my speech into words. Anyways appreciate your feedback. Best wishes & love.
According to Grossman its 1.4 microns per day & according to Shobha Tandon its 1.5 microns per day.
