When I make maps, I have a grid book with me to log all the map numbers down in their correct places. Takes the thinking out of it later when peicing it together. Nice work Prowl. Your building skills have improved out of sight this series.
I use a Cartography Table and name the map where my prime home is as HOME then if I go East one map it gets named E1 S0. The one south of that one is E1 S1. So eventually I may have an E3 S2 map. When I put them up on a map board they are easy to place. Watch the rising sun or moon. That direction is east. The first number on your coordinates (the x value) gets bigger if positive or less negative if you are minus. When you are going East and turn right you are going South and the last number on your coordinates (Y value) gets bigger going South if positive or less negative if in the minus area.
Nice design Prowl. I actually had a map floor in progress that you inspired me to finish. Mine is in the bottom of a little arena so you can view it from any angle. I'm planning to rename some of the maps on an anvil so things will be labeled when you mouse over. The map room makes me realize that some builds really don't show up well from above, so I'm inspired to go back to those and add decoration that spreads across the landscape to show up better.
Bro I just realized yesterday that you can just rename the map on an anvil to label locations. Been playing MC since 2013 and it never occurred to me to do that.
This tutorial is legendary, massively underrated, and precise & clear. I managed to make my own 6x7 (vertical due to my map and biomes being pretty cool north&south but kinda boring east&west) map all lit up, the trick with the locator maps is what I was missing! Excellent work! Subscribed and checking out the rest of your videos on your channel!
was on that stream, funny knowing that he had to move that map wall another time due to the odd vs even wall lol. looks amazing how it finished up. well done
Loved it! Instead of lowering the room, what would it be like to let the ceiling poke above ground level and terraform a small hill over it? Maybe with a monument/fountain on top to give the hill more purpose than just covering the arched ceiling? But what’s done is done LOL AND ITS GREAT!
This whole time I been playing minecraft and used a cartography table, I been making maps on the crafting table with 9 paper. I had no idea you could use one paper on a cartography table 🤦🏻♂️
Made an underground iron farm. Named/ Tamed 5 cats so the mob it's filled, and it worked perfectly well for a lot. It does produce lots of glowing ink sack. More than I will probably ever use. Just made Silent whisperer tutorial, the non chunk-alligned one. Consider it
@prowl8413: A tip for you on map organization. With your being 7 x 10, as you make them / finish filling a map in, throw it on an anvil/cartographer table and rename it with something like "5,2" = 5th row & 2nd column. Makes it so much easier to keep maps straight as to where they go on the wall.
@@BlckMoonstone_ I mean, when you have a map that big that you need a telescope to see the top row of maps, a floor map just makes sense! 1- you can orient it to the same cardinal directions as the world 2- to see a remote corner, you just walk. You don't need scaffolding to climb up and see it. 3- it's *different*. Everybody does wall maps. :P
I’d kill to have a space as wide and clear as your town area, the plains biomes always feel a bit too hilly to make good size towns on my main seed Edit: ah no wonder my world file size is so incredibly huge on my main world, of course the bedrock edition is horribly inefficient at map creation
Yeah turning the map is a total fail. North bering to the right is horrible. First time I have to give a thumbs down. You should have rebuilt the room instead.
This channel is criminally underrated, thanks for all of the great information for bedrock players man!
I was literally just thinking about making a map room for my world. Good timing haha
Do it!
Same
I love map rooms, but I play on low end devices/servers so I learned the cost very quickly.
The whole room came out very nicely.

@@MountainMan41 Great tips pal. Knowing how the coordinates work can really make it easier.

Made this waaay more complicated than it needed to be dude. Good God.
OMG - This one turned out so so good, another great video Prowl!
Thanks!
Big F on the wrong map orientation lol
But you found a good solution, it looks really good! 😁
yo you are one of my most favourite youtubers and I like how you (unlike other streamers) actually reply to your chat
thanks

This was really useful. And hilarious 🤣 F is too harsh. C- cause you fixed it!
It might have started as an F but a good recovery in the end!
Cool map room, I need to make one!
Thanks
RUclips just recommends me this again, and I realized the map is highlighted in the thumbnail and Oh god, *I want a gray wood.*

im trying to make one that’s 32x32 but my game keeps crashing :(
I have found one thing if you want to use spectators mode in bedrock. Just use freecam hack. It allows us to move through blocks and also fly.
Yes..make a glowsquid farm!!
Nice work!!
Such a huge map. Lol came out super nice though
When will a new world download be available?! Very excited
How do you get the numbers on the top left of your tools
Love the vids, when are you gonna return to Twitch streams?
Im streaming on RUclips for this month, and I may stay on RUclips depending on how I feel like things are going
Bummer, guess I'll wait till next month for more streams
a big F for Prowl, as he said
Nice
Thanks!

12:57 looks like a big as cinema screen or lil tv screens
What would be considered a low end device? I play on Xbox, would that be considered low end?
sick
Thanks!
How many chunks will each map cover?
A 0/4 map covers 8x8 chunks
do you have a 3080 or what? geforce?
Which rtx do you use bro
Why did you go from streaming twitch to youtube
FLOOR MAP!
No!!!
Still trying I see 😂
