hello host, I liked how you shared about this lens, I have a Panasonic Lumix G95 camera, however, I am needing a close-up wide angle lens that I can use when sitting at a restaurant table and be able to film everyone while sitting at the table.
it works on any 58mm thread lens, INCLUDING DSLR (full frame or cropped) cameras. this was one of my first purchases moving toward a more wide angle and it works great.
Should a .43x wide angle adapter provide a field of view 2.3 times wider? Using scaling measurements here shows a width increase of only 1.3 times. What gives??
Only time I've had issues getting the wrong items on Amazon is when I'm buying from marketplace sellers. As long as you stick to buying from Amazon directly you should get exactly what you paid for every single time. (Also, if you contact Amazon when a marketplace seller pulls one over on you they'll almost always make it right.)
I used a 0.43x wide angle professional lens it's 52mm and before I used it my camera lens was fine, I tried it and now my camera's focus won't go back to normal? It will only focus on REALLY close things other things are ridiculously blurry, how to I fix it?
Yup it will work, but you have to make shure that the 0.45x filter you order has the same diameter as the diameter of your lens. (the 18-55 kitlens that came with the camera should have 58mm filter diameter) Also just like te video shows you'll get vignetting on the corners of your picture when you zoom all the way out. You have to consider if that is what you want (I kinda like that effect on some occasions)
what I want to see is some footage with the lens on not a tutorial ! I ordered this based on good amazon reviews, but linescrew1 says it distorts color and picture clarity, Amazon reviews say it doesnt vignette at all, which is the problem I had with my zeikos,
i just got mine yesterday. i really like it not only because its a wide angle but also it gives my nikon 1000000x nice resolution. ]ummm.. it fits well to my nikon. but when when i tried to put it upside down coz it gives an fisheye lens effect it doesnt fit . do u know by any chance if i can fit it on my lens. OMGGG PWEASH REPLY
same thing happen to me with amazon it didnt say its made by vivitar and the pic was different from what i got but the information on the item did match up. vivitar did do a really great job making the wide angle lens im pretty shock because i have a vivitar camcorder that i never use and its a peice of shit but i really like the wide angle lens from them
I heard a story about a guy who bought a large flat screen TV on amazon for fifteen thousand dollars and when he got the TV and opened the box it wasn't a TV it was an M16 AR... he, he, But I haven't had any problems like that. : )
I do see some barrel distortion with the WA attachment, quite evident on left side of the frame. Guess what? There is barrel distortion on the left side of the frame WITHOUT the WA attachment. True, not quite as much, but how can you in any way accept that? Do your clients? Are manufacturers selling crap? Yes, they are. And photographers are starting to smarten up. This awakening has unleashed a gigantic demand for old school quality. As a consequence, all of my Nikon manual focus lenses are now worth more than I paid for them. Some worth far more.
There isnt a insexpensive wide angle lens for a DSLR best thing is to get a good 40-50mm lens and just get something like this a wide-angle lens adapter which will run you from 20-50 dollars

Have you used Vivitar 35mm Ultra Fast F/1.4 lens? If yes how is the overall performance compare to Rokinon and Samyang?
you are wrong, I use the vivatar lens on my 55mm lens on my canon 7d all the time, and it works fine.
I get black ring all the way round on my Sony alpha dlsr. It when I zoom out for wide view. How do I fix this mate? I can't figure it out.
Thank you 👍
what happens if you try to use it without the macro element?

+Poppy Aliski Didn't the macro lens stayed screwed on your camera lens, by any chance?
Poppy Aliski sounds like you accidentally set it to manual focus
"this lens will not work with a dslr" what? explain further please?
it works with my g7
actually im planning to get this lens 67mm for my Canon EOS 550D. but u said that it wont work with DSLR... why so..?
Good video and tip on modifying the flower lens hood if needed.
What if you can't get the initial macro portion detached from the rear cap? Is it defective, or is it just a really strong threading?
Yes...What happens on a DSLR please...I have a canon 24-105mm (77mm thread) I was hoping to use it on....Thanks...philip
im looking to make my Opteka 6.5mm fisheye wider angle on my cannon t5i, will this be any help with that?
I have a Canon T5I and when I attach this the edges are always blurry. What am I doing wrong?
I actually attached it to my .55mm lens for my nikon and it worked fine
Would this work on the 18-55mm lens for a Canon T2i?
Yup it will work, but you have to make shure that the 0.45x filter you order has the same diameter as the diameter of your lens. (the 18-55 kitlens that came with the camera should have 58mm filter diameter)

Is it compatible with canon eos m10 lens 14-45?
what I want to see is some footage with the lens on not a tutorial ! I ordered this based on good amazon reviews, but linescrew1 says it distorts color and picture clarity, Amazon reviews say it doesnt vignette at all, which is the problem I had with my zeikos,
Would this work on my Lumix DMC-FZ200
is it blurry in the every side like fish eye lens?
"Anyway, you gonna lose lose the wide angle when you zoom in."
He's like the smartest kid ever!

how did you get the cap off of it?
how do I attach it to my canon t3i I got a bunch of attachment threads but it won fit my camera with out the macro.
I am asking the same question, every hear an answer? Doesn't the macro defeat the purpose of having the wide angle on?
Any suggestions for inexpensive wide angles for DSLRs?

lol you look like john cena
where's the review? a lot of talk about nothing.
These lenses are cheap .. nasty and in no way a substitute for a real wide angle lense.. if you want cheap blurry photos then get one
they are cheap but I get no blur
