    Hey Mark remember when I asked you on your other video about that delivering lottery slips and u said its in Chicago under state. So today I called Ga lottery and asked how could I deliver lottery slips and tickets for them and she informed me the stores etc order and pay online and the us postal service delivers to where it has to go. She said once they order it's on them to get it to the location. I'm so sad right now. I been thinking about this every since I saw your video about it. We run a 26 box truck here in Ga. Thanks for great videos. This one is just what we neeed cost per mile so does this apply for local running too? So the price local should be 2 or 2.50 per mile?

      Hello. Yes when we were doing it for the state of Illinois we ran it via DDS. Each state regulates the lottery and I guess how they handle it logistically. The account is not a truck account. It’s more performed efficiently in a cargo van or at max a 16’ box truck. Local depending on the lane is more gaged by percentages.

      @@markthementor oh ok makes sense. Seems sprinter vans are doing better than box trucks especially this year. I'm gonna have to get me a sprinter van or get some contracts like truckin with dee is doing and source them out to folks. She has final mile everywhere she lives here but killing the sprinter game. Our box truck struggled this year smh I wonna get a mail contract for my truck.

    how to determine cost per mile when just starting out

  • @KEVINSURIEL

    Quick question what number do I put in for truck payment If the truck was paid in full from day 1? cashed out basically

    • @markthementor
      @markthementor  3 месяца назад

      If truck payment is not reoccurring then do not add as it is not affecting your CPM directly daily. Pay attention to your cashflow to determine when you have recouped that initial investment.

    • @KEVINSURIEL
      @KEVINSURIEL 3 месяца назад

      I see what I did not sure if its wrong was I divided the truck by 5 years since that how long they normally get depreciated which was an expense of like $2500 but in any case
      let says I recoup it in 2.5 years the initial invesment then I use it for 3.5 years then that 1 year of me profiting 100% is my actual profit correct?@@markthementor

    In my flea bitten opinion add
    fuel $5 a gallon for 10mpg equaling .50 a mile
    hotel rooms if otr $100 over X miles so ? a mile
    deferred cost of tires $4000 for tires lasting 50,000mi so .08 a mile
    deferred cost of pm $500 every 10,000mi so .05 a mile
    If you are a driver with nothing to do between loads break out your receipts and do a week and divide by total miles traveled. You may find you would've made more money not taking a load.
    YMMV

      @@blades7178 No it shouldn’t. Please substantiate for me why you would include your house payment, car payment, house bills and kids cost in your trucking companies cost per mile? How do these things affect your trucking cost per mile?
