Yes thats true in the philippines we Cook the Meat first and when Meat is Cook we add all other ingrédients because wrapper get burned easily thanks i love watching your channel

No it gets cooked in he oil
meat should be pan fried before mixes with other ingredients, no way that meat is cooked properly with only 20-30 seconds in fryer as you show here. Always cook first, allow to cool then add other ingredients for safety.

Why are they EGG ROLLS ? There's no egg ! Anyone know ?
Great Question! Here's the answer. Featured in a "Chinese-American" cookbook from 1917 the
recipe calls for chicken, ham, sprouts, and mushrooms
to be wrapped in a thin egg omelette. So, literally an egg
roll. But today the wrapper does not contain eggs but the named stuck. Since my wife is Asian, her real translation is wrapped sausage. But its wildly accepted as just egg rolls. Hope this helps.

Obviously the egg roll made in Canada is far different than the ones here in the US. Here the mixture is cooed before it is rolled with the egg roll skin and most places use chopped BBQ roast pork and baby shrimp. They do pre-cook the cabbage slightly and drain it very well. You can cook them half way and drain them and then freeze them.
I would like the Canadian variety, too.
Hello BaahBen. You can cook them half way and drain them and freeze them, but it may become soggy because of the cabbage when defrosted. Therefore you may not get that nice crispiness after you fry it.
Yes, that actually makes a lot of sense. And I actually like the idea of not cooking the pork beforehand & letting the fry process do that. I will try it that way.
