I realize this video is going to ruffle some feathers, judging by the poll I put up. Just know that I don't hate the game or think it's bad, but it is incredibly disappointing.
Ah, don't worry about the inevitable angry comments/dislikes from sheep fanboys who lack any critical thinking. Anyone with sense would see and understand where you're coming from.
To be honest dude I never understood the big deal about this game to begin with i mean from my point of view it looks no different then Borderlands just a typical rpg shooter only borderlands did it better
Good video, but Worth A Buy summed it up perfectly. It's an extremely disappointing 6.5/10 that should've been at least a 9.5/10. AAA gaming is awful. Man I miss the Golden Age of gaming.
It's not about how good some aspects of the game are. It's about how much was promised that they didn't deliver on. The open world is a joke. The ps4 and x box 1 version of this game, that they made all the money off of, is a joke. Not near enough people are covering how bad the AI in this game is. Great video thanks for covering it honestly.
@5Izzy5 I BELIEVE YOU. TOO MANY SONY FANBOYS ARE RUINING GAMING, MOMMY SHOULD BAN PS3 GAMEPLAY FOR A FEW YRS TILL THEY GROW UP AND MOVE OUT OF BASEMENT.
Would really like them (prolly not CDPR tho) to make another Cyberpunk game cos the story and characters are really fuckin interesting 😂 its just such an empty game 😭
So many people are trying to cap and say that despite the bugs, the game is good. Nah, dude, underneath all the janky junk, the game is MEDIOCRE. Props for being one of the few people willing to call that out.
people are afraid to call the came mediocre because they want to justify their purchase. Hell I pre ordered the game and I was so hyped for it but I'm aware that the game is so mediocre.
pretty much like the wicher 3 but many people call it GOTY for some reason like yeah if ur someone who has just started gaming sure it might look like the best thing ever but for me who has 17 years of gaming the game is mediocre at best
You guys are really annoying,it’s your own damn fault for hyping up too much, expected too much. As papa kratos said b4: always keep your expectations low then you won’t be disappointed, ppl really should learn from this and stop being a jackass complain all the time.Jesus ..
Even without the bugs this hot trash would still have No public transport, no cars on the highways, dated clunky on the rails set pieces, no 'Real' rpg mechanics, a barely interactive empty city, NPCs nothing but useless skittles.. This was the one thing that I thought would lift me up at the end of an awful year and its ASS! I am now literally as broken as the game
Ghost Of Tsushima and RE3 were two games I enjoyed very much this year. Never expected much of CP2077. It's still not as bad as the biggest disappointment and the most vile game to come out this year--TLOU2.
@@thepowerofmyth I don't even like FPS games and I can still tell you with a reasonable amount of confidence that TLOU2 is vastly more boring across the board. It fails everywhere except for graphics. And that's coming from someone who prefers third person over first person any day. But hey if you like it, you like it.
@@neamraven I went from cyberpunk and then re picked up tlou2.. And i was shocked. Thr AI is a night and day difference. As you said the graphics are amazing. While I see why people hate thr story.. I though it was alright. The game physics are good as well. But yeah, im having a great time playing it. Plus it has very little bugs!
@@thepowerofmyth CP2077 barely has any AI. That being said, TLOU2 is also pretty basic in that regard. It has some bugs as well, despite being a much smaller, linear game. Not nearly as many bugs as CP2077, but that's a huge open world game. To me, just like the first TLOU, the gameplay is mediocre and kind of boring. There barely is any game, it's mostly a movie and it's super linear. But while the first game was saved by its story, the sequel isn't so fortunate. And so what's left is the gameplay, which isn't fun or compelling. Not to mention there are barely any monsters, and they are the only fun part...
Unfortunate.... had a lot of potential but you can’t even blame it on the overhype. The game is just, in general a shiny paint job over mediocrity. Anyway, you absolutely nailed it man
Mediocrity? What a load of crap you just spewed. The story and characters are absolutely phenomenal - real, believable, multi-layered. The whole city and world-design is astonishing. I am stunned every minute with this game - from blood-pumping music on 15 different radio stations to details like clever logo-designs. Mediocrity? Games like Horizon Zero Dawn are mediocrity, where side characters are so forgettable you barely even bother to remember....
@@dr.embersfield1551 He praised the music and world design, same as you did... yet you say he spewed crap. Next time actually read the comment before replying. And yes, this game is mediocre at best. It pales in comparison to horizon. You're the only one spewing crap
@@psychomantis8007 HZD has a big empty map and dull characters. Not to mention the awful voice acting and non-existent character progression. The only good thing about HZD is the premise (the lore, not the story) and well designed robots. That's all it has. All else is dull and insipid. There's no side quests, only activities, like "Clean this bandit camp" or "Kill these robots".
@@dr.embersfield1551 Dull characters? How about Silverhand being dry and dull? You can't say that about horizon without criticizing CP for issues beyond that. I remember pre-ordering Andromeda and after that telling myself "Never again" but then 2077 came along and I told myself "There's no way the people that made witcher 3 would do me dirty" and not only did they do me dirty they hit me with a spit in the eye karate chop to the throat combo. The only good thing that came out of all this is I never get even the smallest amount of excitement for any game anymore and won't even give it a second look until it's been out for a couple weeks and even then probably only briefly until it's on sale
How is this game good? It is literally BAD, get over it. Cyberpunk 2077 is a bad game, on every platform. People acting like it's a taboo to say the game is bad, my god.
Actually only thing I see is hate vids and comments everywhere.. I dont give a shit about normal pedestrians AI or police AI or whatever.. I do not shoot normal people in the game I just play it how I like it and I enjoy it a lot. So why should I say its bad? Also I encountered minimum of bugs. Only minor stuff on patch 1.06
Personally, the hard truth to swallow is that one small village from RDR2 has more depth and complexity than this whole game. The AI in the NPCs, the dynamic environments, interactivity, etc. , after playing the games back and forth it this just really shows how shallow the state of Cyberpunk is at the moment.
CDPR should be working really hard on providing the game they promised right about now. At this point it's embarrassing that the games industry is at this standard.
When I started the game I felt cheated by that 6 months montage because when they showed that trailer before there was no indication of it being a FUCKING montage. Man CDPR management really fucked us over. Even more so the console consumers.
I agree, besides the glitches the core of the game needs to greatly improved. There is potential but the game right now is like a story on rails..... I honestly can't believe this game was released like this. I hope they save this. It's going to take alot of work. They owe the fans tho and they need to do this to save their reputation. How does a game this expensive, make it so hyped and put out this ... The city is amazing but that's mostly it. They really need to start back at the drawing board and just say f it. Make it 3rd person, go heavy into customizable settings and being able to upgrade your character into a super badass and go on killing sprees when your bored and fight the cops as long as you can. Stop trying to not have it be a gta game and allow it to somewhat be a gta like game in some ways.... Come on man
@@benmcreynolds8581 dude, they don't want to be a gta game for a reason. They're not trying to be GTA and never have. Don't look for a futuristic gta in cyberpunk that's not PondSmith's nor CDPR's intentions with the game. it's more like deus ex X cyberpunk fallout if anything.
They only promised to patch up the xbox one and ps4 versions to make them playable. They've said nothing about free patches to bring in features that were missing from the base game. They'll most likely add some light story missions or a new, smaller world to explore for $10-20 each in the future. Just like with The Witcher 3.
A year later I'll say it again. I dearly hope they release a game using this city. It'd be a real shame not to reuse these assets, because the city itself is amazing, art direction is amazing, it just needs time to do all the things they actually should have done.
CrowbCat is gonna make a CyberPunk 2077 video! (He pinned a comment on his newest 1 year old video saying he will.) My life is now complete. 2021 will be a great year. Update: CrowbCat made the CyberPunk 2077 video! Life is very complete now.
Well, the games from the Deus Ex serie are simply better games... in every aspects (excepted graphics ofc), plus they don't have many glitches and other bugs. But somehow it is disappointing, if Cyberpunk 2077 had lived to the expectations, maybe that would have caused developpers to create more cyberpunk games. With how many copies of this game was sold already, the genre has potential.
This is both the fault of the company and the fanboys. The company lied and the fanboys overhyped. This game is the most overhyped and disappointing video game in the history of video games.
This game's story was changed last minute and is riddled with planned programming. I'm convinced they had to release the game ahead of schedule by the numbers.
Honestly, everything else was bad enough for me, but the nail in the coffin for me is the AI...it’s embarrassingly bad, what the hell is the point of a “beautiful and immersive world” if it has no true life to it? The whole game is pretty much just an illusion, trying to cover up all its faults, even without the bugs the game is a complete disappointment. My favorite part of a open world game is going around killing people/messing around, yet the npc’s act completely brain dead, the guy in the wheelchair stood up and then ran away, npcs would just kneel down and yell instead of running or fighting back, there’s no true npc interaction, the enemy AI is pretty damn bad, etc etc.
This is the more "on point" and trusty review i'v seen about this game (and i'v seen a lot) No psychose about the bugs clouding everything else and actually talking about shitty gameplay mecanics and technical disaster. Keep your reviews that way, i reckon you'll have sucess :o)
I don't understand how you were fooled because this game looked like garbage from the moment it was shown. Any game that desperately piggybacks off a Pedowood celeb to try to lure losers in is a dead giveaway that the game likely has nothing going for it...and again...reeks of desperation. Hideo Kojima's weird baby game follows this trend.
AAA gaming has been dying for some time. This is one of the final nails in the coffin though. They are just getting too expensive and too safe. Indies are where it's at.
People forgot the terrible loot system in the Witcher 3 because everyone just crafts Witcher gear that outperforms almost everything else meaning that you don’t need to constantly change out gear for good stats
Finally someone that isn’t just defending the game because they are overly invested. This game with no bugs is still a ps3 quality game. I don’t see a point in playing anymore of this game until they do a complete ai rework.
Hahaha how Ironic that you say that. This guy made a 60+ minute video defending this game against critizism from Jim Sterling before it was eve released.
@@samfkt He glossed over it with not as much as an apology. After making a 70 minute video defending cdpr and calling jim sterling a liar. No apology. Nothing but a little shitlord
Uhh, what? I'm not a fanboy or anything but GTA5 was revolutionary. RDR2 was a beautiful game with an awesome story and decent gameplay, an easy 9.5/10. Just a bit slow. And Elden Ring, despite being my first Souls game, is an easy 9.5 as well.
@@martymcfly88mph35 GTA 5 was a let down for me and not as good story wise as GTA 4 and had worse combat mechanics which made it a lot easier. The 3 way character system didn’t work (what was the point in Franklin?) 8/10. RDR2 was a let down for me because the game was far too easy and implemented a fake survival mechanic which ultimately didn’t have any consequence for the player, check out Breath of the Wild for a game that nailed survival mode. So I would give it an 8.5 outta 10. Elden Ring has too much repetition and plays like Dark Souls 3 with no new innovation - 8 outta 10. MGS V - the biggest let down for me 6/10
@@rossl5908 Franklin was important because black. The story would've been too unbelievable if it was 3 white guys committing crime in LA. I agree about RDR2 being too easy and BOTW being superior... but even BOTW had some issues. It had, what, 3 different enemy types all game? That was pathetic on their part. RDR2 had some amazing epic scenes that should go down in history, like breaking John out of jail. And when Arthur dies, it's the most emotional thing in any video game ever possibly. I cant comment on Elden Ring being too much like DS3 as I havent played any other DS games. But I dont think that's necessarily a bad thing as DS3 is apparently pretty good. Plus, open world, with a cool spin on it, no handholding was great for exploration. I think it's an easy 9.5 as well. MGS I cant comment on as I only played the first back in the day. I'm surprised they're still making those games though.
@@martymcfly88mph35 If you haven’t played any of the previous Dark Souls then you won’t understand my problems with Elden Ring. Yes DS3 was a 10/10 game (controversial opinion) but it was made 6 or 7 years ago! I was wanting a fresh new engine to go with the new console but instead we got Dark Souls 3.5… And pls play Dark Souls 1, I know it’s old but for me it’s still the best game ever. 🔥
@@rossl5908 sure I'll give it a shot. My best buddy has been bugging me for years to play it as well. I'm just waiting for steam to put it on sale, cuz despite having 40 grand in the bank, I'm too cheap to pay full price. I think they want like 50 or 60 bucks for it despite it being an old game
Haha, I loved this game. Best game I've played in years. Then again I also loved Fallout 4.. I played on PC though and it wasn't too buggy, but it definitely needed a lot more polish, I hope they do a proper cleanup of the game.
It’s like the entire game was released in a stage where they had finally put a placeholder in position for all the things they wanted to include, but then didn’t get to actually add any depth to it before it was forced out to the public.
@@Dead4911 Non open-world games like Dishonored have side quests though. I mean, you can't even play the arcade machines. A game like Yakuza which isn't even made by native english speakers and had barely any of Cyberpunk's *government-funded* budget, had playable arcade machines.
@@truthpurpose yakuza has a huge budget but indeed they have probably the best minigames of any games. Dozens of minigames and in depth arcade halls as well.
@Truth Purpose Yakuza 7 only cost a fifth of what Cyberpunk did and yet Ijincho has way more to do than Night City. It’s just weird that they didn’t think to include an arcade game or even something basic like getting a haircut.
I really think that CDPR should have stuck to the Witcher series(maybe make a game where you create a Witcher from scratch) because you need to worry about less things in such a setting. At this point it is clear that they are among the very best at creating spaces in video games which really helps fantasy settings like the Witcher.
I can't wait until people stop focusing on technical difficulties so we can begin discussing how average the game is in itself even if it was bug free.
Thank you, that's what I've been trying to look into as well, but all anybody's talking about are the technical faults. I want to know what this game exceeds at and if it handles any of what it does well in a unique way or better than other games like it.
That's when the true lack of RPG depth will be made clear, and all the reviewers calling this a masterpiece "RPG" will look even more ridiculous for giving this game 10s across the board. This isn't a deep RPG by any stretch. AC Valhalla has more consequential RPG choices ffs.
It’s because if any body says anything else regarding feedback loyal fanboys will argue with you and try to bring up Skyrim but this isn’t about that game so that argument doesn’t hold weight
I'm slowly, and reluctantly, coming to this conclusion. The AI and crowd density (on ps4 pro) is disappointing. Worst of all, it's biggest problems don't appear to be patchable fixes. It's a non-ironic GTA, but "future as imagined in the 80s"
"how is this game made by the same people who made witcher 3?" well, actually, lots of key witcher 3 devs quit cdpr because of abuse by management, so this game wasn't made by them...
I think its because i played on pc. Dispite the bugs, physics and AI. I enjoyed the story, character development and skill tree. Hopefully they fix the bugs on console. I think because they expect the game to be like gta whereas is similiar to deus ex
@@hazo111 How ? At least, The games from the Deus Ex serie actually have an IA, thought imperfect it may be... For example, the cops don't teleport behind the player... And There aren't any Deus Ex Open Worlds.
We just got a new strain of COVID here and they've 'cancelled' Christmas and banned us from travelling and seeing family. I don't have Cyberpunk to get mad at, so I'll console myself playing Skies of Arcadia and Tony Hawks on my Wii 😉
That's what I thought going into Terminator Resistance considering that dev's last game was Rambo The Video Game. But, Terminator Resistance has more passion and soul than both the latest trashfire film and many AAA games released in 2020.
Bigger the graphical advance and map size, less content and options, to me games peaked at 360 era, after that, barely anything changed, my favorite games of this generation have the same gameplay from years ago.
I am currently playing Yakuza Like a Dragon and it is amazing how much care and attention was out into that game. And then I see stuff like this and feels like a game that had the life squeezed out of it by trying to meet set deadlines and profit earnings. The marketing was aggressive and felt desperate. I think I am more surprised when they marketed it as the most alive city and from what I have seen, it looks so lifeless. I was assuming it would be near Deus Ex's world design with how detailed and dense with tons of interactivity.
Except half life alyx. Valve is the savior of video games. Idc cd projekt fanboys tries to cancel me. They only made the witcher series and cyberpunk thats it. Not high level expertise like valve, rockstar games lol
@MrWereverForever and this game is suppose to big on "cool" and style. I was expecting visible cybernetic implants, but not even haircuts. But that doesnt matter since theres no third person to see yourself anyways ffs. Cant change clothing looks, so you have mis matched clothing to get the highest armour ratings.

Out of those 9 years they actually only spent about 3 on actual development of the game because of a Ton of bullshit going on at the company but I agree with the overrall sentiment.
Churning out classics in less than 2 years is Obsidian’s modus operandi lol. Not everyone can pull off deadlines that tight. I've come to the conclusion that Keanu Reeves ruined the game indirectly. CDPR had a story all written and done. Keanu came aboard so they added him to that scene. Than the breathtaking moment happened and Keanu became beloved. So they rewrote the story to have him be the main character essentially. Thats why the prologue seems so out of place. It seemed like a start to a strong story and than they just kill off all the characters at the end of the prologue and the game devolves into a bunch of nonsense that feels very rushed. That's why the rest of the game like performance, AI, no choices, etc..., because instead of spending the last 2 years finishing buttoning the game up. They spent that time rewriting and cramming the new story in. Thats why there are no cutscenes or anything. Thats just my theory A gay theory
Agreed. Act 1 felt strong and then the rest of the game is weak. Plus they killed V's personality for Johnny one - for whole game only thing I did learnt about its the name and that's all. RIP Jackie, the only character I cared about.
I agree 💯. The game could of been a masterpiece if they hadn’t of changed their mind mid way through production. The whole dying thing doesn’t really suit a open world RPG.
Yeah, I tend to agree pretty much. Even the endings revolve around Johnny. Everything is just Johnny, Johnny, Johnny... muh "wholesome keanun big chungus". I fucking hate this game.
It’s so weird cause when you watch cdpr interviews they talk a lot about how they want to be different to other gaming publishers/studios, how they want to be better. They are a bunch of hypocrites, or either just said all that stuff to gain fans.
@Martin Pigeon yes I heard about that, it really sucks they had so much passion for the game but just because of the other people it was ruined. The gaming industry is just getting worse and worse over the years, I’m worried for the gaming future.
They were over confident with themselves. They got people talking about overrated Witcher 3. So now they think they are the best. Well, CyberJunk 77 pretty much proved them wrong. LoL
Thank you so much for this. Everyone has been talking about the glitching, freezing and bugs, but not enough about everything that was promised and not executed. This was the most disappointing game I’ve ever played.
The only way this ends if these kind of games flop big time and lose a lot of money. Even with all the rage, CDPR already made their money back and more. Gamers get the industry they deserve and blindly support.
Lmao, we haven't even reached the crescendo of this shit show, in the face of the Star Citizen. The most expensive, over hyped, over promised bullshit game of all. Which btw started out at the same time with Cyberpunk, and yet still not even close to being finished, even as a concept.
How do we even have people who preorder at this point? STILL? Haven’t we collectively learned our lesson like 10 years ago? Over and over again we keep having this preorder fiasco and people just done learn. Anyone who preorders is a total sucker and I feel pity for them. You pay for a product that doesn’t exist yet. If you get burned, it’s your own fault.
Night City’s beauty only being skin deep is fitting in a meta context. Obviously I don’t think it was intentional, but since the city itself does turn out to be antagonist of the game (at least in my view), it’s fitting that the shiny veneer hides a horrible mess, both in the context of the story and the game as a whole.
It's also contextually quite fitting that a corporation that pretended to care about players did something like this to their most ardent fans. In a sense, this game at launch was a perfect meta representation of cyberpunk.
Raven Knight I mean the game’s not that bad. It is a disappointment in a few respects and was released far too early, but I ultimately enjoyed the story and many of the characters. The gigs sucked, but there are the pieces of a great game there. I haven’t given up just yet. They’re pushing out patches at a pretty steady rate. If No Man’s Sky managed to get fixed, this game can too. Wasn’t anywhere close to what they promised, but I still got my $60 out of it, and maybe I’ll get a whole lot more if they continue to work on it. When you hit rock bottom, the only direction you can go is up.
@@Quonchon There's no contradiction. If Night City had in reality been the beautiful, idyllic utopia it purported itself to be, then it would be ironic that the game's marketing was merely a facade hiding an unfinished, buggy product.

We didn't have overly high expectations. Its not on us to doubt gameplay footage. We SHOULD get what we are shown. Its not our fault for our expectations, because we arent the ones who set them.
I agree, mostly. CDPR marketing definitely started selling this game as a GTA alternative over the last few months, which the game clearly wasn't built for. That being said, the hype train is never good for a game outside of increasing sales. Everyone, myself included, needs to take a step back at some point and take a more realistic perspective on what a game is going to likely be. But, like I said in the video, I don't think anyone could've guessed Cyberpunk would be this disappointing.
Agreed. It's not even a matter of our expectations any more. It's a matter of their expectations. They failed to meet their own shown and spoken marketing material.
This game isn't even "80% done" like they said. This game is 40% done. BARELY Dais Ex Human Revolution had far more interesting 'Cyberpunk' cybernetics game mechanics than this game,... 10 years ago? FUCK!
@@Missacek played 40 hours and finished the story. Missing core mechanics of an open world game like a basic wanted system, stuff to do in night city, good AI. The only thing u can do beside the story is go to the odd store and prostitute, that is a dog shit open world game.
I feel like you were approaching this point when you started wondering about cut content and brought up the 6 month montage with Jackie. But I really wonder if that montage was supposed to be the main story - and was replaced by the Johnny Silverhand biochip story when they brought in Keanu Reeves two years ago. It feels like playing through the Jackie time fits the vision that was sold to us FAR more so than a linear "I'm dying" story with Johnny. And honestly, I would've appreciated playing with Jackie MUCH much more. He was a blast - no other NPC has been anywhere near as fun or engaging as Jackie.
The whole Jackie portion doesn't make a ton of sense the way it's in there now, either. V's reaction to his friend being dead next to him in the car is like...meh on to the next one.
Honestly I was worried when they brought a celebrity onboard. Usually eats into a lot of the budget and then the game kind of gets focused all around that rather than the game. I'm starting to wonder if they starting fluffing it all up with Keanu because they knew the game wasn't quite there yet. Add in someone like Keanu and it will distract a lot of people and detract from the ideas of the game. I will say though it's done pretty well. But honestly could have done without Keanu.
The game doesn’t even really give you a cyber-punk aesthetic really. It’s not especially dark or gritty or overly focused on a world where cybernetic have melded into every-day reality. It’s more like an off-brand GTA masquerading as a cyber-punk game. True Cyber-punk would be something like ghost in the shell or blade runner

I feel that if Rockstar weren’t so money-hungry and if they really wanted, they could do a better job making *THE* definitive open-world Cyberpunk experience GTA-related or not.
They have been working on AI and world mechanics since day 1.. That's decades. Offcourse they'll do a better job in simulation a world. A future world ? I don't think so.
It's pretty hard to live up to gta 5 which is why I think gta 6 will take a long time also every time R* releases something it's always something completely on a different level just look at rdr 2 and gta V R* knows when to talk and when to keep their mouth shut, cdpr bit off more than they can chew and it's very sad to see the so called *NEXT GENERATION OF OPEN WORLD* end up like this, to say one is disappointed is an understatement
They probably used the Horse Physics and Handling from Witcher for the cars. lol. I really like the game overall, but even if you like it, it gets hard to ignore the flaws. I had practically no visual glitches/bugs with the exception of a single T-Pose in ~70 hours of playing it. But the driving...I don't need GTA but come on, they could have done better than that, and the sounds of the cars are disappointing too, I know it's the future but if Mad Max with a petrol drought can drive a V8 why don't we have a rumbling V8 in it or a howling V10 or something. They have no distinct sounds to me. (And I agree, going 150 plus feels like me going 50 in my hatchback in RL) I think the only way they can really make it right is give everybody who bought it and hasn't returned it should get all the DLC's for free.
Man they need to make a whole extra set of dlc on top of what they already had planned, to fill this game up the way it was intended to be. This game looks like it needs 6 major expansions and 3 smaller ones. Then it would be a complete game.
They do have v8s and v10s. The type 66 and the caliburn have those respectively. Thats what i can tell from sound at least. The caliburns sound is directly taken from a lexus LFA.
@@ignacio8529 Hmm, well they have distinct sounds and yes, the Type 66 sounds fairly V8-ish, reminds me of a future Mustang, the Caliburn sounds like a JDM driven at the limiter in a bad way. Not sure, just feel like it lacks in terms of sound design. I know it's not a driving simulator, but I think there is room for improvement there for sure.
Shame is that it needed so little to be good. Better leveling, better loot, better balancing, better economy, better driving and more random events in world. I would overlook the bugs, janky animations and outdated quest design if I could actually enjoy the gameplay and fell rewarded for exploring the city.
The biggest red flag: when the devs sell pre-orders. Pretty much 90% of the time, the money gets stolen and you get a game that is nothing like the advertised experience you expected to get.
Pre ordering a game in a digital age is beyond retarded. Back when games were physical things and you were going after a popular game especially in an area where if you did not pre order it might be a month plus before your store got more copies sure it made some sense.
I've been trying to find a video that covers everything you just said. New sub here! It's absolutely mind bobbling all the promises and hype CDPR marketed to us. It's literally Fallout 4 with better storytelling. How did we get here from Witcher 3?! I'm enjoying the game (for now on PS5) as I did with Fallout 4... until it's complete and the honeymoon phase is over. Shallow game that has no right being called an RPG (inspired by a tabletop RPG LOL) I'm so sad and disappointed with this game and CDPR... After technical patches, this needs massive overhauls. *facepalm*
I have been searching for it as well. People are focused on the bugs, graphics issues, and the fact the lied about the state of the game on console. Witch are all fair points but not enough people are talking about just how much they over sold and way undelivered on the core of the game. The open world sucks. The AI is soooo bad.
@@andrewroach54 Exactly, I have absolutely no doubt the game will be polished up to near no bugs and the AI might be tweaked a bit. Even with that it's going to be an okay game... I wanted to love this game, I wanted CDPR to be that AAA company for gamers, but they're just a bunch of corps. Optimistically this can be a great learning experience for them. It just stings for us.
Nah, because she didn't play the game. So that's why she got shat on and she was political; "we're suppose to be changing the world?" This is a game not an exact life simulator.
The game sucks this badly, and they lied about tons of stuff and yet there are still people that bought the DLC for the game that will never be finished.
Both games were equally broken at launch, and the witcher 3 had much less advertising and promises about it's gameplay which made people have very low expectations.
@@Dead4911 The Witcher 3 was not as broken as Cyberpunk is. I played the PS4 version at launch and never once did things happen like: - My weapon disappearing - Being unable to draw the weapon - NPC following me for a main mission being stuck to my side for the rest of the game - Decapitated Enemies still running around - Groups of NPCs spawing and despawing within my sight - Textures not loading at all - Assetts getting mixed up in important story cutscenes - Having a black bar in the lower half of the screen that wont disappear until reloading the save - Save file getting corrupted for looting too much (which is, to be fair, fixed by now) ... and many many more. The Problems I had with the Witcher boil down to sometimes interacting with a candle by accident, Roach spawing weird, FPS drops in more populated areas. And know what? Except for the candle thing, Cyberpunk has all those too, on top of the crap that makes it worse. Oh, and on top of that, the Witcher had more complicated sidemissions instead of the Ubisoft-Tier copy and Paste Missions we see here, which sadly are displayed on the map with the same Icons as the good narrative driven Quests and the ... Cars available for buying? Why would those be displayed as a side mission on the Map?

24:09 i cannot believe they ripped off the Deus ex human revolution quest almost word for word. This is a fucking joke. The best advice for anyone looking for a real cyberpunk experience is to just go play deus ex. CD projekt red obviously copied the gameplay and skill tree anyway, and try to hide it by making it an "open world game". Jensen is a much more interesting character and the story is much more immersive. You are really eased into your surroundings and can get attached to characters. they actually give you choice as well in the fact you can never kill a single soul besides bosses, and there are a couple choices you can make that actually make a real difference down the road. the abilities are better and the combat is amazing.
@Arakhan if a company in the gaming industry is professional, they would look at all genre releases related to the new project that wish to undertake. this gives them a understanding of what goals they need to meet in order to stand above predecessors. if a development team cannot do that, they need to find another job. too many uninspired devs just looking for a paycheck. My biggest problem with CP2077 is that it has no excuse to be that bad. The amount of confidence CPDR was showing was the biggest knife in the back. They looked like they looked at CP2077 and got hyped to show that good games can be made. They talked so much about trust from the community and how important it is, deapite the fact that they knew well that once the game releases everyone will see that it was a big fat bluff. They probably hoped it will be as good as it should be by the release, but they f'cked up. Big time. Just how? How many times does the cycle need to repeat? It's against common sense. And it wasn't even a "grab and run" situtaion... CDPR to me feels like a mentally ill guy who on the 1 side is honestly your best friend, but on the other is a total dick. And you never know which one is talking to you untill it's too late.
Yeah, the dying in a few shots when the enemies are bullet sponges is bad. I know Deus Ex isn’t really that similar to CP (despite what people say) the reason hard mode is good in that game is because you’ll die in a few shots, but so will enemies. You gotta be tactical in your encounters, while here it seems like you should confront bullet sponges is the cheesiest, most careful way possible.
most careful way? I found myself tricking the AI after a few hours. Wasn't even on purpose, but somehow my brain figured, "well not worth reloading this filler quest for the fifth time" so I just stand far away and use "Software reset" and my .50BMG. found this game got broing with that quite fast. only playing for the main quest now tbh.
I only had issues with enemies being billet sponges early on then they became quite manageable once I started specing my character more. Now most enemies go down with just a single headshot from my beastly sniper rifle or a grenade detonate hack.
@@chriseffpunkt4333 Yeah of course I do otherwise wouldn’t have nearly beat it. The gunplay/combat is better than he leads you to believe in this video (still not amazing, but good), there’s more narrative choice than he leads you to believe also (wish there could be a bit more, but it’s definitely not a totally linear experience mission-wise), and just experiencing the awesome writing and environment really sucks me in for a fun and compelling time. As flawed and often times lackluster this game is in the technical and gameplay department, I never was genuinely bored except for a very small handful of times and was always excited to see where each mission would take me next. That’s just my opinion though. Game is disappointing, yes, but it’s still a good game if you accept that fact.
I forgot the name of the rifle right now, but there is a weapon that one of the enemies drop that is a sniper rifle that autoaims on vitals of the enemies, it can one shot almost every enemy in the game even in the hard setting, amazing now all encounters can be beaten with a single gun no tactic required, just hide behind a cover and autoaim everyone.
It’s funny but after few days of playing Cyberpunk I immediately downloaded Human Revolution and playing this instead. To be honest I’ve never finished it so it’s my chance.

Lol. I’ve been replaying the Deus Ex games while waiting for this trash pile to release. I’m still playing Deus Ex to wash the bad taste of 2077 out of my mouth.
I’ve been gaming since 1985. One thing I’ve noticed is the more games (and movies for that matter) have access to new visual technology the less the developers focus on core gameplay/story. There are rare exceptions... but that’s the problem, they are exceptions. It use to be that choices actually mattered and you suffered the consequences. Now it’s like games are so afraid to tell you that you lost, they end up safely guiding you through every scenario. #Permadeath2021
There is a saying that, the entertainment industries want to dumb down peoples expectations on things so that they can profit off of less effort and work. This goes for movies and games. Almost every super hero movie has a similar ending, theme, flow. All horror movies follow a pattern, formula, template.

Maybe Ubisoft was secretly guiding them
Excluding graphics downgrades, Ubisoft NEVER lied that much and never hyped a game THAT much just to deliver nothing in the end.
Ubisoft never overhyped any of their games

The whole game is pretty much just an illusion, trying to cover up all its faults, even without the bugs the game is a complete disappointment. My favorite part of a open world game is going around killing people/messing around, yet the npc’s act completely brain dead, the guy in the wheelchair stood up and then ran away, npcs would just kneel down and yell instead of running or fighting back, there’s no true npc interaction, the enemy AI is pretty damn bad, etc etc.

@Mr. Anime & Watch Good job!
Never buy into any hype. I’ve been fooled on four occasions - GTA5, MGS5, rdr2 and now Elden Ring. Never again
I really think that CDPR should have stuck to the Witcher series(maybe make a game where you create a Witcher from scratch) because you need to worry about less things in such a setting. I am currently playing Yakuza Like a Dragon and it is amazing how much care and attention was out into that game. And then I see stuff like this and feels like a game that had the life squeezed out of it by trying to meet set deadlines and profit earnings. The marketing was aggressive and felt desperate.

Thats just my theory
A gay theory

Night City’s beauty only being skin deep is fitting in a meta context.
Didn’t know they pocketed the money. I think that also goes along with the Ceo being game director
Pre ordering a game in a digital age is beyond retarded. Back when games were physical things and you were going after a popular game especially in an area where if you did not pre order it might be a month plus before your store got more copies sure it made some sense.
You got your wish Crowbcat put you in his new video
Yeah, I saw that. Looks like I made it, guys. My 10 seconds of fame lol. I've always been a fan of his so that was a surreal moment for me.
Shallow game that has no right being called an RPG (inspired by a tabletop RPG LOL)
I'm so sad and disappointed with this game and CDPR...
@@andrewroach54 the worry is they can fix the bugs but what about the lack of A I
When u realize gamespot were right in their review
Nah, because she didn't play the game. So that's why she got shat on and she was political; "we're suppose to be changing the world?" This is a game not an exact life simulator.
The game sucks this badly, and they lied about tons of stuff and yet there are still people that bought the DLC for the game that will never be finished.
I think someone else made "The Witcher 3" and CD Projekt Red just took the credit.
Both games were equally broken at launch, and the witcher 3 had much less advertising and promises about it's gameplay which made people have very low expectations.
@@Dead4911 The Witcher 3 was not as broken as Cyberpunk is. I played the PS4 version at launch and never once did things happen like:
- My weapon disappearing
- Being unable to draw the weapon
- NPC following me for a main mission being stuck to my side for the rest of the game
- Decapitated Enemies still running around
- Groups of NPCs spawing and despawing within my sight
- Textures not loading at all
- Assetts getting mixed up in important story cutscenes
- Having a black bar in the lower half of the screen that wont disappear until reloading the save
- Save file getting corrupted for looting too much (which is, to be fair, fixed by now)
... and many many more.
@@M3cronom I never experienced even one of the 9 things you mentioned, I had a playable FPS throughout the entire game and an overall smooth experience, different people experience different bugs.
@@Dead4911 Well, that is good for you :) But on my end, the saddness that I am about 80 hours away from the refund conditions rises rapidly xD
funny that you say that. many people who made w3 a good game actually quit because of terrible treatment from management.
cdpr just hired new slaves and this new batch isn't as good as the old one
I don't think anyone at CD Projekt actually played the game to test it.
@I AM SOMEBODY Damn... No wonder so many shit games are coming out nowadays. Why the fuck do we have people who don't give a shit about games work on them anyway? Unbelievable.
@I AM SOMEBODY fucking hell, so this lazy, self-important attitude has invaded every industry now
This is just not true lol.
Please don’t spread this sort of idea that these people are just wilfully ignorant to what they put out.
Of course they played it and tested it. They just decided to put out a shit product because they knew it would sell regardless.
These corporations don’t care
Maybe this will make people appreciate the deus ex series more and hopefully get a sequel one day.
You know I was thinking of getting the old Deus Ex games while getting fallout new Vegas and all it's DLCs what do you think
Yeah, I'd rather install Deus Ex series back and enjoy the gameplay again.
@@lamlelamatsiliza8550 sounds good if you haven't played them before I think you will enjoy them. Great stories, gameplay and soundtracks.
@@derekstafford6681 ok thanks
I only beat the first deus ex on last gen ps4 that had a damn good story man but yes agreed destroys this game
Consumers don’t learn, even after all of the lies and broken promises they are all lining up overhyping Witcher 4.
Woker 4
Thos damn lazy millennial devs.
Couldn't agree more dude
Deus ex is also trash
Deus ex is a cod rip off
@@abovethelaw4417 haha, it is easy to tell you have no idea what you are talking about.
Cd projekt red was mostly men when they made the witcher and now it's majority women.
true, specifically diversity hires.........no diss to women but they just don't have the same level of passion to gaming
@@zmss8537 especially the ones trying to incorporate politics into the games, like they're just the scum of the earth lol not even me being mean either, games time and time again have been ruined by these morons, along with shows and movies, it is ridiculous the kind of effort being put into games nowadays, we SHOULD be getting consistent bangers, the gaming industry is fucking pathetic lol only people who are truly consistent are Nintendo

Go and revisit this mess with the Phantom Liberty update
“I’ve been schooled 10 f**king times at this point”
😂 I feel you bro ! They got me again to !
@@lhays117 do you think the Game is fun tho ?
Looks like Deus Ex is still king.
It’s funny but after few days of playing Cyberpunk I immediately downloaded Human Revolution and playing this instead. To be honest I’ve never finished it so it’s my chance.
@@reanimatorpl You won’t regret it. The story is great and the ending... oh man. So good.
@@zacfromArkansas I know. And I like the artistic side of HR, the music, the some kind of fusion of mythology about Icarus and cyberpunk mechanical future. It’s a very coherent experience with a story to be told and a message to be put across
@@rohrbrot4563 exactly. I had the same vibes you are talking about. I just wanted to experience that game again.
@@KingSavy100 Exactly! Why make a new submarine movie, let’s just take Das Boot add new tech and call it U-571. Spartacus? Ok let’s call it Gladiator.
Movies like No Country for Old Men are so rare.
@Accurize2 | Survival Gaming Channel AGREE BUT SONY FANBOYS INTELLECTUALLY AND CREATIVELY BANKRUPT.
ALSO CANT PLAY HIGH DIFFICULTY LEVEL, SO SHOULD STAY ON PS3 AND LEAVE HARDCORE TO PC EXPERTS.
Only so much time to develop a game, so impressive graphics are a red flag - a CDP RED flag :D if story beats cost so much to show on screen you can be damned sure they're scared of them not being seen. In other words, meaningful choices with big consequences are not encouraged in AAA games. FO Vegas and VtM Bloodlines were unicorns :D Never go public traded if you care about story/gameplay quality. Good luck to the CDPR devs fixing it, or future Witcher 4+ may be a hard pass for many also.
This game was supposed to be the second coming of the Christ for gamers but now........
