Once upon a time there was a young man seeking treasure, power and command for himself. Every individual joining in could only do so in a hierarchical subjugation to his claimed supernatural leadership. He promised to destroy his enemies and worked to use people to accomplish those aims. CoolAid was not invented yet but, those who followed him and subsequent generations of leaders, perished. What does reason answer? Is a cult no longer a cult when its image has been more or less "sanitized"? What can be the harm joining such a group today? The answer? Your mind is altered to think that you need the continued adherence to the group not only to live, but also to die. Leaving isn't really possible with your dignity intact.

Even if he'd not lied they might still have become suspicious. Forensic analysis of the car and whatever remained of the bomb might still have led police investigaters to conclude he was the bomber, especially if it had gone off as planned and killed his wife (who I assume was his intended victim) instead of prematurely exploding and injuring him.

    • @MichaelHarrisIreland

You might have to ask that again. He claimed he was OUTSIDE the car, not inside as your question suggests. But I don't know the answer either way. And I hope I don't make mistakes when I ask questions, but it happens. If the bomb wasn't for him who was it for, did he risk his own life, could have done. Or maybe it was for his wife. Anyway, interesting.

    • @movingoutyoung

I didn't have a single ad. The channel can't influence how many ads are shown to each viewer. They can only choose "show ads" or "don't show ads" - sometimes that leads to many ads in one video which is annoying but not the uploaders fault :/

The "cult" bashers only pick on those who are all united in their beliefs and actually PRACTICE what they preach. They only need to hear the words Mormon or JW or Scientology to trigger their mouths! Makes them feel better about themselves to find fault with those striving to be better people I guess. SMH
