Anyone else get the feeling that those chowhounds on the front row have very little clue as to what they're mostly missing?!? I get it, not everyone was there for the YJs specifically, but I just don't think I could concentrate on my fork for a single second with Bob and the boys killing it to such a high level, as usual. Jacob clearly knows.......
😂so true!!! Such an awesome group to see love. I’ve transcribed a lot of mintzer and I got to take a picture with him and meet him backstage and he was so cool. Such an engaging and killin performance.
@@jacobaguado8928 Totally. Met Bob (and Randy Brecker!) when my college jazz ensemble ended up at the same festival with Bob and his original NYC big band. Unfortunately, two of the bigger names in the band (Pete Erskine and Dave Taylor) sent subs, as they were reluctant to leave the city, even for just a couple of days. At one point, I asked Randy if Arista was going to re-release all the Brecker Brothers recordings. He wasn't sure, but said, "hey, you should check out what my brother's got goin' on ", which, of course, I did. It turned out to be his first solo album - "Michael Brecker", on the Blue Note label. BTW, during my entire chat with Randy, there was an attractive young woman on his arm, and I don't recall her saying a single word. I realized months later that woman was Eliane Elias.
Interesante. Han pasado por muchos músicos diferentes. El saxofonista y el pianista fueron los únicos músicos originales. Usan muchos bajistas. Todavía fue una actuación increíble para ver.
Damn they started it fast and kept it swinging all the time. Awesome will!
Fantastic performance :D
CodaBroda 😁

P.S. their latest rendition with WDR big band kills me even more!

Never can understand how a band of this calibre put up with the awful talking, clattering of plates and eating. Disgraceful and disrespectful.
