I can't believe that I found it again suddenly after 15 years, just like it was yesterday ... I wrote a song on this music 15 years ago and I still remember the lyrics
I saw John playing live at the fisherman’s wharf in San Francisco back in 2008. Bought his CD from him right then and there. Been listening to it ever since ❤
I remember my mum showing me this song 10 years ago, which made me start guitar after a few years of listening.. 6 years later i have you to thank for playing the guitar and i still come back from time to time
me too man :) john was my one of my main inspirational artists for me to play spaish style back then when i first got a guitar, and its great to sit here and listen to them all again
YEARS ago, I had the fortune to be in San Francisco and John was performing in Ghirardelli Square. Fell in love with the music on the spot. I sat in listened for a while before purchasing a few of his CD's. Still mesmerizing to listen to.
I don't know if John knows that the world will never see a piece like this again. Not only is this THE Most Evolved, but also John is the only one who can play it this perfectly.
I remember back in 2010 this video was the reason I started learning flamenco style playing and until today it's my favorite thing to do on the guitar. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
I heard this song 16 years ago and for the last two weeks I was trying soooooo hard to remember the name of the song. Finally remembered lol. Ah man it's still so good.
So glad to see a Flamencoist who doesn't rage-picado a whole song. You're showing a whole host of techniques here and, not only do you execute them fluidly, but you've got solid control of melody and pace. Well done sir.
no joke i was literally looking for this song since 8 years now, remembering the music but not the name. found it today in an old flash drive. oh so goooooooooooood
John taught when I was in high school 10 years ago. This just popped up in my recommended videos. I am so glad he has so many followers. I had no idea. So freakin cool!
You have no idea how happy it made me to see you reply to comments here after all these years. I first heard this when I was about 10 years old, now I'm almost 25 and it still sounds like perfection.
Your are kind say that. Thank you for listening to my music. I have 4 albums out now wherever you listen to music streaming. Please check them out if your interested. 😉
This is the song that made me want to learn to play guitar. I love this song so much, I haven't played a guitar for 5 years and now im so out of touch i cant even play the intro of californication, but for some reason i can play this song perfectly, anytime, anywhere.
I remember when I first heard this when it came out & then rushing to buy the CD & all these years later, this album is still one of my favourites. John, thank you for giving me years of joy by using your special magic on that guitar of yours. ❤
One of the reason why i play guitar. Imagine being so innocent just learnt one song that is autumn leaves very easy and suddenly i saw this i dont know what happen but it is intense and i love it.
I bought my first guitar in 2011 and this is the best thing I've ever come across, I still to this day go back and play along with u man, I even do the same mistake at 2:16 intentionally, it gives it a special flavour. 2011 I was 19, and now I'm 30 and still in love with this
I don't know how or why my brain thought of this, but I'm so happy I found it by typing "spanish guitar" into the search bar, and scrolling down to find it. :) I remember there being a description on the upload that was something forgiving him for the filters, he just wanted to experiment to see them.
i remember watching this video when I was 15 and I thought fuck me I have to learn the guitar. Tried learning it as soon as I saved enough me to buy a guitar and I.... spectacularly failed. For some reason it always occupied the space of 'this is wayyyy to hard for you'. Cane across the video again last night and 6 years later I've finally learnt (not yet mastered) it. TRUST THE PROCESS or some shit like that I guess
playing the guitar is just beautifull, I feel you! I always struggled with "the deer hunter" a beautiful piece, kind of easy to play, but very very hard to master. Just keep playing, its so much fun and people are going to enjoy you playing
i still remember this day the next when it was uploaded and saved in my playlist...its been on my playlist since.....and 8 kids later thank you brother
Same here haha, been looking through the videos I have liked over the past 6 years. 500 or so in total. So much fun to find videos you forgot all about. :)
Finally found it again. I found this video when I first started playing guitar then I somehow lost the track of this video. Found this masterpiece again after searching with different keywords.
I hope John read this. I remember when i first heard this and i fell madly in love with it , it was truly when i found that i just love music. I used to hear it everyday till i start wondering what is it like to make this beautiful kind of music. Thats when i first asked my mom for a guitar ! And she was like “well, better this than you hanging around bad people in the street. This what got me to play guitar and where i found my passion for music. Thank you John & it was also an honor to meet you back in 2012 in SF.
Me too!! This video is what got me started into classical guitar when i was a kid. It’s ingrained into my brain 😂 I’m so glad i remembered what the title of the song was! I’ve been racking my brain trying to remember.
I LOVE your performance here lol... When you start turning on your chair it always puts a HUGE smile on my face! The timing is perfect. Randomly found you couple days ago and I'm really glad I did. Love your playing and them street jams are awesome. Thanks for it all!

@@jackwindensky5606 bro, one thing I would say is that you should play with a metronome. Totally transforms the sound
