This business of truth and reconciliation in Canada has gone on for way too long. The ongoing 'back and forth' bureaucracy needs to come to an END. Either its our government throwing money at many crucial needs along with Chiefs who exploit those fund's themselves...and yet First Nation's people on reserves are still trying to cope with the many issues themselves that would never be allowed in any other towns and cities in this country! Mold in school's and housing! Contaminated drinking water! Unaffordable food! The list goes on and on including the many health issues due to this government that refuses to address the many companies who allow for toxic chemicals being spewed into indigenous rivers et al! WHEN will our government DO the necessary work ON SIGHT along with First Nation's people to end this ongoing crime??? The many Indians in this country fought in both world wars, the many Indian's are thriving having created their own businesses....and yet even the Semiahmoo reserve in White Rock BC were blocked from receiving water from the city of White Rock until a few year's ago and had to survive with potable water!! WHEN will this absolute BS END ???!!
Her function is to do audits but she doesn't bring a list of companies that had audits done to the committee meeting. I guess she thought she had it since she searched through her papers. When I went to meetings I prepared ahead of time, knew what I would probably need and knew what was in my notes and documents and would not have needed to look for something that wasn't there. All of these committees seem to be made up of people who are very professional at hiding evidence and forgetting any details.
Thank you, MP Laila Goodridge, for asking the tough questions. It's clear why the actual minister isn't here and sends drones instead. Like at 14:45 when the witnesses all look at each other saying "I didn't bring the brains. Did you bring the brains?" We need govt witnesses who take these meetings seriously and take responsibility for their policies.
