I have a phone with LiPo battery that has lasted for 4 years. On its 4th year, it cant hold an hour anymore if I on the wifi and watch a video. My current 3yrs old phone has Li-ion battery and it can still hold 5 hours of watching video. It only drains 2-3 battery charge if remain idle for a day too. Maybe the secret to its longer life cycle is to not let it get hot while charging, coz my phone with LiPo often gets hot when charging before, unlike my phone with Li-ion. I suggest that you refrain from using your fast charger as much as possible coz it always gets hot when using it, and always use original charger

All new phones are required to have a safety feature to prevent over charge... If you have a li po battery you more than likely have a "newer phone" not only that it was put in place before li po was a commun smart phone battery (at least us market). So regardless you should be safe...just be wary of aftermarket chargers, heat and heavy usage while charging. I charge my phone overnight in a safe spot and avoid using while charging when its under hot conditions....

Lithium ion (iphone) and lithium polymer (android)...
Sometimes iphone battery is replaceable because of the bad battery health or degrades...yeah iphones are water proof/water resistant because of ip rating thing...and when you change a new battery for your iphone...it will loose the old brand new of sealed outer body (looseness of water resistant capabilities)
While android smartphone sometimes removable battery but never replaceable because it last longer...
Yeah lazy people doesn't need to look battery health stuff because they will buy a new smartphone after 2 - 4 years using their old smartphone...plus i wish iphones have lithium polymer battery rather than lithium ion battery...it will cost me to replace the iphone battery rather than android smartphone that doesn't need to replace a battery
