      Glad it was helpful!
I had to learn it on my own I couldn’t find any videos explaining it clearly enough.

Steve, you still have time to get me one of those jigs for Christmas. No need to wrap it.
    Great video.

Do you drop the sawmill blade the same amount each time? This is the part that confuses me you said keep your settings right 3/8” & 3/4”. But do you drop the blade 3/4” each time?

Thanks for watching .. Well I don’t know if I’m right or not this how I got every cut to come out the same I should have did a better video on it .I mill my siding at 3/8 on small side and 3/4 on big side .
I ran the blade up to the can’t with the cant being level and went down to the thickness I wanted on the small end and marked it. Then I lowered the cant and dropped it to the exact size on the other side. And then I looked at my mill scale and found out what it was set at. I ended up setting my mill for two settings 3/8 and 3/4 to get the exact board cut every time. Hey I’m not for sure if that’s correct or not ? But that’s how I got it to work for me. Hope that helped you . Appreciate you watching and asking the question. Again thank you

That is a nice jig, seems to work very well. The next thing we need to do is to put some servo motors on it to automate the process.

      Thank you Mr. Wilson
First I received the package today they look great. I ain’t looked at the rest of the stuff until Bonnie gets home. They are excellent and I like them. Now back to the jig. Yes Sir it works pretty darn good. And yes you are right I just need you down here to automate it for me. lol maybe we can use some left over printer parts… lol thank you Mr.Wilson for watching and commenting. And like the old saying is …. ( Checks in the mail )

@@MsdMakingSawDust This is like watching my 3D printers, but you do all of the work.. I have 4 running now and if it works out - they will run all night by themselves, and make magic happen

When you are dropping the blade how far are you dropping it when the cant is flat and then how far when the cant is tipped?

In the video I was milling
      1/2 x 1/4 siding
To get a 1/2 on the thicker side
You set your cut for 5/8
      That equals 5/8 - 1/8 = 1/2
To get the 1/4 on the thin side
      Set your cut for 3/8
      That equals 3/8 - 1/8 = 1/4
The 1/8 on each cut is the blade thickness .
No matter what size you are wanting just add the 1/8
      Hope that helps you .
