so glad to see this YT update :) I used to follow you on Insta but deleted it at the start of 2022 for my mental health... so I had no idea these changes were happening! I'm so excited for you and this new chapter. I can relate 100% to wanting to move out and just have the space to create. The winters are so brutal, and I'm even thinking about being away during the colder months haha! Can't wait to see the content you put out and where you choose to live!❤❤❤

I’m glad you can relate on many levels- it can be so beautiful but also so draining to live at home.. and ultimately it wasn’t doing any of us any good. I was so cranky!! And omg the winters- also so draining. You forget about them when it’s summer, but the second it’s January 1.. I’m like noooooo this is awful!!!! Sending you love!!

I’m so happy you talked about lack of motivation being home. I considered living at home again but I know it’s harder for me to focus on my work and I know I just have to honor that! Felt so good to hear you talk about that too
i felt this a lot esp being a jersey girl living with the fam (going to miss them when i move out) and then also dealing with the COLD in the winter!!! if you're looking for a good place to live - bridgewater/somerville NJ or princeton NJ are great options, or if you want to be closer to the city there's always the jersey city/newport/hoboken area!!

i also just moved out and am so so close with my parents and it's SO hard. i'm also close to them distance wise still but knowing that it won't ever be the same day in and day out is sooo sad. we're in this together
Ugh so you really get it :( it’s so tough, but I know and already feel like it’s the best. Visits are SO MUCH MORE enjoyable already and I actually TALK to them now and tell them things rather than being so cranky and irritated by everything. But then yes, it’s SO sad bc like wtf.. I also have trouble wrapping my head around the fact that we’re adults!! And moving into different stages of life has been tough for me to swallow.

I still remember watching one of your first YT video on how to curl short hair. Still doing the tips youve shared up to this day. Glad to have you back here and for the bts of running a business, would love to know how do you get paid doing ig postings from the brands you love? whats the process like? do you reach out to brands? and how do you negotiate pricing?

Thanks for the update Viv! I wanted to ask how did you know how much your content was worth when you were working with brands? And how do you navigate that now/what knowledge have you gained since then?
Thank YOU Lisa!! Quite honestly I’ve always been lost with what my content was/ should have been valued at (and still even sometimes now), but i think speaking with closer friends about what they’re charging/ receiving from brands always helped make those decisions. Also the basic formula is $1,000 for every 100,000 followers. But that isn’t 100% accurate because engagement plays more of a factor than just follower account. Some people have 1 million followers and engagement is very low. But that’s a good starting point to either increase or decrease. As I’ve grown, I’ve also been able to gauge the amounts from brands reaching out- ex: they propose an amount I wouldn’t have dreamt of… and its like OH if you’re valuing me at THIS than wtf am i doing charging x! Like i need to raise my shit. it also depends on the size of the brand, the category they fall under (clothing vs beauty).
