He can also handle an oversteery car unlike Checo, and has insane overtaking abilities. So if he found himself in the current Redbull, Max might well have a tough battle.
I feel that F1 is only for those who are absolutely fit to cope w/ its responsibilities. Many, if not all of the FE, Indycar and WEC drivers lacked a defying amount of competence to secure a carrer in F1. That's why it is the pinacle of motorsport
@@StrikingAlexa to be fair the car in 2007 was the 2006 Honda which was one of the fastest cars at the end of 06 and was faster than the flawed 07 for most of the year.
Kobayashi's way under-rated. He had a monstrous pace and most of the grid argued that in a good day there wasn't a match for Kamui. He's also thrived on WEC with Toyota. Makes you wonder what could've happened if he had gotten more support in F1. He's still a legend of japanese rscing on my books.
Absolutely awesome video! I never knew Nippon had so many great talents! Thanks for the informative video as always Peter! one of the most underrated f1 channels on YT!
loved this video and how you include your community, big things are coming for you i can feel it, keep pushing out this content it will get big someday
Hoshino is also the owner-founder of the Impul company, which also made various aftermarket parts for Nissan and also ran Nissan cars in Super GT. Also, Kunimitsu Takahashi is the one who popularized the art of drifting. Even Keiichi Tsuchiya studied under him before making it even more popular like it is now.
11:20 talking about Juju, she is going to race in BOSS GP, to be honest his father choice of her career is very weird and she supposed at f1 academy like her W series teammate Bianca Bustamante does.
Your implying that Juju Noda cheated in Euroformula is wrong. The series amended the rules to give female drivers a weight advantage. After Noda won a race the other teams(essentially one large team) complained and the advantage was rescinded. They did not cheat. She is also leading the Italian Drexler Cup F3 series.
Hoshino in 18th should be illegal, he's one of the best drivers Japan has ever produced, if not the best. His two GP appearances don't tell the whole story
It would be a crime if Kobayashi wasn't the no.1 in this solid video's list 👍❤ Btw i'm curious to learn which was the "undisclosed" front running team who offered Katayama a seat for 1995. I mean thinking of the contracts situation back then and also the front running teams in that season, it wouldn't have been Williams or Ferrari surely because they had their driver line-ups secured... So it could either be Benetton or Mclaren ?? 🧐
Think it was Benetton given the Mild Seven tobacco sponsorship probably why Herbert was only called up for the last 3 races of 1994 instead of Katayama?
Is running over pit mechanics a requirement for Japanese drivers to enter F1 or what is going on? Nice series again! Make one about Argentinian & Colombian drivers por favor!
I always seem to miss your votes! My prediction of those I can actually remember is as follows. Takuma Sato Kamui Kobayashi Satoru Nakajima Aguri Suzuki Yuki Tsunoda Ukyo Katayama Shinji Nakano Kazuki Nakajima Tora Takagi Sakon Yamamoto Hideki Noda Taki Inoue Yuji Ide
Well, that's harsh on Juju. Also, she just won the F2000 Italian Formula Trophy championship. She is doing pretty good considering she is just 17 years old.
There’s an alternate universe where Checo gets bounced out of F1 in 2014 and Kobayashi is driving for Red Bull
He can also handle an oversteery car unlike Checo, and has insane overtaking abilities. So if he found himself in the current Redbull, Max might well have a tough battle.
Kobayashi will always be a Toyota driver. No way in hell he'd drive for Red Bull HONDA
@@camillaquelladegliaggettiv4303well it isn’t technically Honda, and redbull are turning to Ford soon
Yuji Ide was such a great driver that FIA had to take away his superlicense in order to give other drivers a chance to do anything.
Japanesee Goatifi
Based comment😊
Fun fact: Yuji Ide is still the oldest rookie, and the only driver to get his superlicense revoked

Sato and Kobayashi were good drivers.Very happy they had sucessful post-f1 careers.
Sato managed to get super Aguri into the points that's why I think he's the best

such a shame how kobayashi’s f1 exit is only due to not having money
It's amazing to see how much has quality of your videos have improved
Hearing Peter Brook say h3n741 is something I never expected
Running over the pit crew seems to be a Japanese theme I guess.
0:55 *That escalated quickly*
Yeah like wtf 😂
Met Yammamoto at the London EPrix in 2015, as poor a driver he was he is a throughly lovely guy and was a joy meeting him!
Cant be a poor driver if you get a super license.........
The hentai reference almost made me choke on food.

Very decent list. Could you also rank the other Asian drivers?
Wasn't expecting h3ntai in a Peter Brook Video 😂
What could've been if Katayama didn't get that cancerous tumor in his back. He likely would've signed for Benetton and done solidly there.

For what Sato did in a super Aguri I think he edges it in my opinion
0:38 Nakajima, Ide?, Yamamoto, Sato, Kobayashi. Japan Samuraj F1 driver👍🏁🏎️😉
Kazuki Nakajima was bloody useless in F1. Ranked far better than he deserved.
Any news on the 90s cars ranking?
Work in progress!
Taki Inoue would have done better in horse racing 😛
Alpha Tauri isn’t a good enough team for tsunoda I think he could if given a competent team could shine.

I'm seeing an absolute lack of respect to his highness Sir Yuji Ide

Takuma Sato
Kamui Kobayashi
Satoru Nakajima
Aguri Suzuki
Yuki Tsunoda
Ukyo Katayama
Shinji Nakano
Kazuki Nakajima
Tora Takagi
Sakon Yamamoto
Hideki Noda
Taki Inoue
Yuji Ide
Almost
Did I completely miss the Noaki Yamamoto segment?
Naoki, did only free practice but that is indeed an official f1 session! Amazing driver in single seater and sport cars!

But as he said the car Was underweight
Verstappen was in f1 at 17
I challenge you to rank every Brit F1 driver
Do Brazilians next!
Argue Suzuki, Kamui Kobayashi !!!
Did anyone here 18:56?
My top 3 🥇 Takuma sato 🥈 Kobayashi 🥉 Yuki Tsunoda
Probably the lowest driver:win ratio of ANY country lol
My personal Top 5
Takuma Sato
Kamui Kobayashi
Ukyo Katayama
Yuki Sm0lnoda
Satoru Nakajima
Nakajima being disrespected here tbh

This rating is just data based, but not by driver quality
For example, hoshino is better than most other japanesse drivers were rated better
Hottori defiently too low, even though he only did 2 races he could have held his own in F1 for sure given half decent equipment.
Yes hentai no.1😂😂
Yes sir
Takuma Sato best, Yuji İde worst japanese F1 driver
They're all pretty useless
