Hamas senior leadership is seeing this and thinking, "The plan is working!" Y'see, the whole idea behind replicating a crime story from the 1990s Midwest (shooting up a festival and blaming the victims) was that a ham-fisted response (supposed "Yank model") would result in an outrage. Ultimately, those once held in high regard would be disgraced, as shown in this article.
