Folks have been asking a lot of questions specifically about living hinge design since the last livestream. In it I showed how to place a living hinge in a design using Lightburn. But I didn't go into much detail about living hinges. There are tons of designs that you can use to make a living hinge. But before we get lost in the weeds, this livestream is going to talk about the basics concepts of a living hinge and how to lay them out in Lightburn.

The tighter the spacing ie the smaller torsional link the less load per link. So the greater the flexibility. Try increasing the space between the slots and see what happens. The flexibility is now decreased.

Will a living hinge work on acrylic?
I've never tried. But acrylic would not be as flexible as wood.
