So glad to see this redemption video I saw Greg play this on Video from another show with 2 guys. That knew the head but couldn't play the rest of the song. It was kind of disappointing. This is absolutely top-notch great job. 🔥
I like Greg Howe. But there is a certain fluidity that is lacking in most guys who attempt to play the masters songs unless they have studied his style and approach to expression and such stretching of the reaching past normal.
Greg is very talented but there is something that stops me wanting to hear more from him. On this occasion he does not seem to be listening and reacting to the bassist and drummer, and instead just races ahead of the beat playing a bunch of patterns, and little harmonic or melodic exploration.
@@HarlanHarvey76 They played a few gigs on this tour before this one - I believe this was Ernest's first gig on this tour stepping in for Stu Hamm. Also, it was hot and humid that night - they were soaked by the end of the first few tunes.
Fantastic tribute to the master. What a fantastic band, Greg is also a really nice guy too.

Caught one of the performances on this tour. Hamm and Howe killed of course had not heard of that drummer ...what a smoker!!!
Of course Allan could moan like no other, and his mastery of grabbing chords from wherever they may lie was unparalleled - Magnificent Work❤
Greg knows a lot about a lot. Dude is god in his own damn right !
cool

By the time I saw them in Portland, they were way tighter on this. And that was only 2 shows later
