  • Welcome to my guide to social dancing in San Juan, Puerto Rico 💃 Hopefully this is everything you need to know to start salsa dancing in Puerto Rico. I've broken it out by day of the week, and included important dancer info like footwear reqs and any cover fees. :) Enjoy!
    Sunday:
Delavida - There is social dancing at Delavida every Sunday evenings in Puerto Rico. The music is live salsa. When the DJ plays between sets you might get 1 bachata song. Cover $5. You can bring a reusable water bottle (no water filling available). Wear street shoes, not dance shoes. / delavidarestobar
Piso Viejo - There is social dancing at Piso Viejo some Sunday evenings in Puerto Rico. The music is live salsa. There is no cover. You can bring a reusable water bottle (no water filling available). Street shoes or dance shoes. / piso_viejo
    Monday:
La Factoria - There is live salsa music on Monday nights at La Factoría. There is no cover. Dancing is present, but is difficult because it's a SUPER crowded space. More dressy attire. Street shoes recommended because of how crowded it is. / lafactoriapr
    Tuesday:
Eco's Sports Park - There is live salsa music on Tuesday nights at Eco's. There is no cover but parking is $3. The dancing is AWESOME here, and I wouldn't miss it. Tons of great dancers and plenty of people ready to dance so you can dance all night without stopping. Street shoes recommended because the dance floor is pure concrete (sidewalk concrete). / ecossportspark
    Wednesday:
Drift - There is live salsa music some Wednesday nights at Drift. This is a beautiful location right on the beach, but be sure to check their IG to confirm that it is happening before you go. / drift.pr
Musica - Newer on the scene (so new I forgot to mention it) is Musica. This is a new bar/club opened by Jose Reyes who owns one of the most popular dance studios in San Juan. Wednesday you can usually catch a free class before live salsa music. Indoors & air conditioned. You can wear dance shoes. / musicabarandloungepr
    Thursday:
    Delavida - Same as Sunday!
Piso Viejo - Same as Sunday!
    Friday:
Que Rico - They never publish anything about having music available, but they do every Friday night. It's a bit of an older crowd but no less of a vibe. Located at 20 Calle Blay, San Juan, 00920.
    Saturday:
    Special events only

Thanks for the FYI! This is the type of info usually only the locals know, which is always the best headz up! Going soon so the AI is timely ❤ On the weekends the hotels in Isla Verde used to always have live Salsa but it sounds like that might have changed 😮

This is pretty useful. Anyone know if there is a Facebook group that lists salsa concerts when they pop up here and there.

The sensuality about hot salsa dance is so beautiful, specially in this enchanted magical island, you close your eyes let your fantasies and the magical enchantment nights of San Juan and it will take your mind and hart forever , this exotic island has 530 years old since the Spaniard discovered, we go every year , and can’t get enough, it’s like you have been enchanted by her beauty
