Nauseating display of imagination, craftsmanship, skill, attention to detail, and all around badassery. The real question is, can those rocket pods fire? ;) Badass, dude. Bad-ass.
Dude, GREAT JOB. I envy your ingenuity and skill!!! One thing I can't let go, though: the kit must have done you wrong... the collective's on the wrong side. The cyclic goes between the legs and the collective is on the left side of the legs (for both pilot seats). Only one helicopter I know of had a system like that and it was the Sikorsky R4 (first production helicopter for the Army during WWII / Indo-China war timeframe). On that bird there was only one collective and it was between the seats with a cyclic in front of both seats so the pilot could choose which side. A very confusing design that was never repeated in a helicopter design again.
Ivan Cruz That‘s a tricky part because it should be strong and flexible as well. I made a small frame/console. Due to vibrations of the fan I placed small rubber shims between the canopy and the console. Unfortunately I have not further information or pictures about this step. Sorry! Did you also built a Hughes heli?
The Army Guy i did a how to on joeburlas.com but sadly i left out music. It makes me feel like im in a 70s porn. Great job on the fan!! Ours was an OH-6, so your model is cooler haha
Disappointed that this video is so short. Would have liked to see a more detailed video. Went to the link. No English version. Really want to know how the tail rotor and lights where made to work. Thank you otherwise
I'm sorry, but I thought that pictures are enough for a ceiling fan ;) You also can use the google translater to convert the complete website. Unfortunately, I have no further information regarding the tail rotor system. But it's very simple - a small gearbox motor drives the tail rotor and is connected to relay. You can see some details it at 0:51sec
This is awesome. If you made this a kit I would throw my money at you!!!
Every minute I stay in this room, I get weaker, and every minute Charlie squats in the bush, he gets stronger.
