i always listen to this song before going to sleep while at work. Now, I cant describe the feeling. Having no work Having sleepless nights this song saves me. Kudos from Philippines
I feel you Ashley. They make my heart chill out with the Saviours. I was the only one listening to Fleet Foxes in convoy back in 08. I was in leave and heard them on Gorilla vs. Bear. Then had to put em on the pod. Stay loving my friend
I'll shoot you dead for the father Of the coal miner's daughter Beneath the icicle tusk You and me among the flattering dusk In my haste I draw my weapon Designing your final lesson As you recede to the floor All is silent but the fluttering door Twenty-five grand on the table Of the high wall street stable I'm not responsible for The reputation of the neighborhood whore But I'm a keyhole peeker And you're my surveillance keeper And though my memory rusts I will always see the icicle tusk And I must admit That it gets lonesome on my shelf This much I can tell This much I can tell
Hey man you read it wrong lol, nothing like that I met robin pecknold at one of there gigs and mentioned this EP and he looked shocked we even knew about it it was right after Helplessness blues released. I asked him to play this or crayon angels, he signed our tickets And we watched the gig he played neither but what a show.
Love it! Their harmonies get me every time! I love that they have transitions in their music that you would not expect. I need to find a group like this to sing with!
I think this is the only band that split up/took a large hiatus and came back just as strong if not better. Bless you, Robin. So happy to be able to hear the old songs now
I love this song so much. This track and "So Long to the Headstrong" are a part of my everyday sing along playlist. I appreciate this EP so fucking much. Thanks-a-million.
How wonderful that you are so clever and consistently so!! Every single beautiful piece of music you create is always so different and yet the same, if that makes sense! Thank you so much for sharing your talents!! xx
i can imagine hearing this in red dead redemption 2. the theme of a dramatic story about outlaws in the west and the lyrics for this song in my opinion seem really good together.
I heard about this collection of b-sides about 7 years ago now, but I could never find it. It's crazy that it's finally getting an official release all this time later! (Here at 926 views)
This band makes me so soft, nearly spiritual and trully happy.
One of my favorite classic FF songs.
It was a song that showed what was to come. Simple yet melodic. Easy to see why it's a long time fan favorite
i always listen to this song before going to sleep while at work.
Now, I cant describe the feeling.
Having no work
Having sleepless nights
this song saves me.
Kudos from Philippines
You must have a sweet job to be able to nap and so forth… sounds comfy
The title of this track compliments the instrumental so well. Gorgeous production and amazing vocals!
The feelings that Fleet Foxes brings me are surreal and hard to explain in words, but enough to bring me the utmost happiness.
Ashley Fragoso couldn’t agree more!

saaaame. ff are def next level
I’m glad it’s not just me
I'll shoot you dead for the father
Of the coal miner's daughter
Beneath the icicle tusk
You and me among the flattering dusk
In my haste I draw my weapon
Designing your final lesson
As you recede to the floor
All is silent but the fluttering door
Twenty-five grand on the table
Of the high wall street stable
I'm not responsible for
The reputation of the neighborhood whore
But I'm a keyhole peeker
And you're my surveillance keeper
And though my memory rusts
I will always see the icicle tusk
And I must admit
That it gets lonesome on my shelf
This much I can tell
This much I can tell

Greetings from Minnesota. Been listening for many years now and you still hold up as one of my favorite bands
The first three seconds reminds me of Fantastic Mr. Fox :") This song is painfully magical it makes me swoon.
I've gotten a type of mandela effect from the first jingle you hear at the start, I could've sworn this was in the movie.
(The Wes Anderson one)
fleet foxes really are sustaining us in the year 2018
And now 2020, oh how things have changed since 2018...

Thank you.
You know you're getting older when the songs you listened to in your youth are now packaged in a collection from 14 years ago. :D
This song is a wooded waterfall at dusk with smoke billowing from the heap of logs beginning to illuminate the relaxed world
Emotional voices.
OH MY GOD FLEET FOXES UPLOADED!!!!!!!
You seems to have been EXACTLY on time!
Beautiful
thanks fleet foxes from Indonesia. thats good af
Remember when Robin and Dan Rossen (Grizzly Bear) performed Corduroy by Pearl Jam on Jimmy Fallon? That was nice.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention
This a new version of this song? I don't remember it sounding this clear or it having the sharp harmonies
Thank you!
nostalgic
This song tastes like eating a fistful of fresh snow
I clicked out of an old Gumby & Pokey episode half way through when I saw this!!!
Unrelated but important: I just heard Bright Eyes by Art Garfunkel and I *need* Fleet Foxes to cover it one day.
Is the cover a reference to the title sequence of North by Northwest?
Yes!!!! Please tell me you're going to release the full EP!!!!
'bout time!
i can imagine hearing this in red dead redemption 2. the theme of a dramatic story about outlaws in the west and the lyrics for this song in my opinion seem really good together.
I agree. I'm not responsible for the reputation of the neighborhood whore.
BLESS BE FLEET FOXES
Musica da minha vida!
Textbook love when?

I edited this with the classic concert hall reverb sound and it's amazing
Thank you

Derek Dill it’s been on RUclips for 9 years lol!
Is this the place where Robin met with Thom Yorke?
robin used to cover radiohead so i can definitely see that influence in this earlier material
"So what'd the doctor say?"
This is fucking wonderful okay.
Yaaassssssssssssss!!!!!!
Such Tagore influence !!!
Christmas is coming indeed.
❤️❤️❤️
WOW
Upload this to Apple Music pleeeeease!!
🔥
This is an older song? Must be why it’s so great! Not a fan of the direction cracked up went in, but admire the artistic experimentation
The song where Fleet Foxes found their sound?
