I got into K-pop by reading a comment under a Dua Lipa mv which mentioned a collaboration between Dua and Blackpink. I had never heard of BP, so I checked them out (Boombaya), and loved them! Starry Night was the first K-pop song I'd heard that wasn't by Blackpink, and Mamamoo came into my life. To this day, Starry Night is one of my favourite songs, and Mamamoo is one of my favourite groups. And now, unrelated...... If you haven't heard/seen PIXY'S mv for "Bewitched" (English version) , please do yourself a huge favour and check it out.
because you mentioned the wheebyul harmony here... there's quite an interesting thing about their singing voices... if you pitch byul's up a bit ('two notches' or 'twice' is what's generally said) it sounds almost exactly like wheein's, and the same with pitching wheein's down to get moonbyul's... several fans have uploaded pitched versions of many of their solos that now sound like the other is singing it. it's really bizarre and quite incredible (and the girls even know about it, they mentioned it and shared a bit in an episode of mmmtv) ...personally, while i love any pairing of voices in this group, there's just something quite special about both wheebyul and wheesa harmonies that always get me
Are you still sure Byul is your bias? Mine is Solar (still) but Wheein has the tendency to slowly wreck subtly over time as you get to know Mamamoo. And once you Whee in you can't Whee out... 😍 The location is New Zealand btw, so pretty! 🥰
