“Women’s fiction” is such an interesting concept as a genre, particularly when we know most readers are women. Loved your take on this…wondering if you can do a video on “men’s fiction”. As always, you’ve made me think … I really look forward to seeing you pop up on my feed!!!!
Hello Stella! I really enjoyed your review and thoughts on women’s fiction. I received this book in a mystery box last year and I really disliked it! But it’s always interesting to hear your perspective. I’m a big fan of second hand books. I think any time we can reuse items that are already in production and avoid waste the better! And being able to pass books on - whether to a friend, an op shop or a local Little Library - is one of the reasons I love purchasing physical books! I look forward to hearing what others have to say 😊
Thanks for watching Katey. I really want to support writers but I also think the more second hand we can use the better - and libraries too of course. I think second hand books have a good flow on effect and can often lead to readers buying a writer's book. Also if it's an older book second hand is best. OMG no one EVER needs to buy a Dan Brown book new again. The opshops are crammed with them.
I read and enjoyed the book, but I know it is not everyone's cup of tea. But why Sigourney Weaver when we have Jackie Weaver? Second hand book buying has its place. It keep titles alive for longer than retail can and makes books available to more people. I couldn't sustain my reading habit without libraries and second hand books.
Thanks for watching. I don't think Jackie Weaver is right for the role but there would be another Australian actress who'd be right for the role. I wonder who is playing Alice? I know Leah Purcell is in the movie. Yes I hear you on the libraries. I hope you enjoy up coming video.
I've just read this! I loved the flower themes that contrasted with the dark subject matter. I think it will make a brilliant mini-series.

Loved the book. Looking forward to seeing the movie !
Thank you. Holly co-hosted the recent Back to Nature on ABC
She did indeed. It was a lovely program too. Almost like meditation.
