Disney California Adventure Park, commonly referred to as California Adventure or by its acronym DCA, is a theme park located at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California and is themed after the history and culture of California, which celebrates the adventure of the state through the use of various Disney, Pixar and Marvel Studios properties. The park opened on February 8, 2001 as Disney's California Adventure Park and is the second of two theme parks built at the Disneyland Resort complex, after Disneyland Park.
The concept of a theme park dedicated to California arose from a meeting of Disney executives in 1995, following the cancellation of WestCOT, a planned West Coast version of Walt Disney World's utopian EPCOT Center. Construction of the park began in June 1998 and was completed by early 2001. Disney initially projected high attendance rates at the new park; a series of preview openings held in January 2001 led to negative reviews, however, and after the park officially opened to the public on February 8, 2001, the company's attendance projections were never met. Disney spent the next several years incrementally adding new rides, shows, and attractions, and implementing other promotions aimed at boosting attendance. In 2007, Disney announced a major overhaul of the park consisting of new expansion as well as re-construction of existing areas of the park. Construction lasted for five years and was completed in stages, culminating with the opening of Buena Vista Street and Cars Land along with the re-dedication of the park in June 2012. The most recent addition to the park was the completion of Avengers Campus when the Disneyland Resort reopened in mid-2021, after being closed for over a year.

I think the multiverse attraction for Avengers Campus is the E ticket attraction and the quinjet attraction was like an earlier version of it sadly

I recommend eating at Pacific Wharf Cafe if you visit DCA. They have Boudin sourdough bread bowls with Clam Chowder, Corn Chowder, and Mac & Cheese! It was delicious!
Im going in 4 weeks, it will bey first time in the states (im from amsterdam and ive been to disney paris many times but never any other park) and holy moly i cant believe its happening im so excited, wish i had a fast forward button so it would come sooner

I've been to California Adventure two times recently, and it has changed a lot since 2016. Here's my honest opinion: Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout is really fun and enjoyable, but it lacks the theming and storyline of the Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror. Avengers Campus was underwhelming, lacking a concise, and the Spiderman ride was a letdown for me. It reminded me of the LEGO Ninjago Ride at Legoland California. Pixar Pier turned out amazing. It's much more picturesque than either Paradise Pier 1.0 or 2.0. I loved how everything was themed to Pixar, including the shops like Knick Knack (after the Pixar short film) and the Adorable Snowman's Ice Cream Shop (from Monsters, Inc.) All in all, I love Disney California Adventure, with it's thrilling rides, immersive lands, and delicious food options, but Avengers Campus was quite underwhelming.

I would definitely head to Disneyland first, then maybe DCA in the late afternoon or second day if you have time. 😀

@@themepark101 why Disneyland first? I was thinking to do DCA first because I have a feeling everyone's gonna wanna go to Disneyland first haha, so by the time I hop over to Disneyland, the original crowd will be hopped over to DCA

California Screamin' became Incredicoaster and Paradise Pier became two separate lands: Pixar Pier and Paradise Gardens Park.

Lots of reasonable inns and motels nearby. I've stayed at Kings Inn before, nothing fancy, but it did the job and walkable to the Disneyland Resort.

that pretzel should be twice the size and give people a break by maybe charging 5 dollars. Pretzels are super cheap. They probably paid 15 cents just to make that entire pretzel.
