- In this video, I will be sharing how to inspect, clean and lube the final drive chain & sprocket of your motorcycle, in this case a Yamaha YBR 125G.
You will find in-depth info on how to properly clean the chain, how and what to use for lubing the chain and how would you know if the chain & sprocket is shot.
Note : Remember, drive chain & sprockets are meant to grow old together so always try to change them as a set.

Appreciated, you showed us importance of maintaining chain. Otherwise main ya to chain garari change krata hun jb bar bar utarny lg jati hai, ya tight krata hun jb gurrr gurrr ki awaz ati hai ya chain cover phar k bahr nikal ati hai, untill then i never look whats inside the chain cover, which cost me dozens of chain covers since i bought my bike :-D last chain cover was replaced yesterday :'(

Ejaz bhai mere ybr par b yhe tires lage hue hai jo ap ke bike par lage hai.. maine nozzle laga kar tubless kye hai but air pressure kum ho rha hai khud sai he without any puncher... agar ho sake to is par video bna dai is par..

Yes, the relationship between chain and sprocket is more closer to one found in gears so 100-140 grade oil dampens the noise and acts as a film between metal to metal contact.

@@motovlogics1425 sure always....just to inform you that fee days back i tried to open side wala diaframe cover to clean it but unfortunately slipped the screw...so needed to down the whole carborator (pehlay kabhi nhi kra tha yamaha ka) so after watching your carb wala video it was very easy and all went very smooth and now bike is on cloud nine...one thing i noticed k for cleaning these things it requires alot of love, care and time, which usually workshop people dont have (i dont blame them) thats why by doing it urself, results he algg hotay haain....and its all possiable bcz of people like you, who explained the details so well k anybuddy who has time can do thererself with the care these things required....so thanks for sharing the knowledge the right way...best of luck.

No issues bro, sometimes its just the weather and friction from braking.
To be on the safe side, put bike on dbl stand and spin the wheel by hand it should spin freely

Also there is one crash guard installed around 3 kg weight. One side box with basic tools

Yet again, Amazing. I have never seen a mechanic lube the chain remotely closer to how you are doing here. I wonder if they are just plain lazy or don't even know this stuff.
Thanks for the valuable info, I think developing a connection with your ride is the main thing otherwise it's just another bike.
A weird thing happened the last time I took my bike for its first tune-up, instead of lubricating the chain and cables, etc with oil, the mechanic just sprayed WD40 and called it a day. He was like "Yea zada better ha"
I was wondering it is just plain opposite of actually lubricating. your thoughts?
Lastly, I think one of the main issues that every one of us has faced is the engine tappet being loose of too tight, any change of working up a video on that?

W. Salaam. Thanks for the kind words and support. About WD40, if you ask me is more of a de-greaser than a lubricant. its categorized as penetrating fluid whose main purpose is to penetrate deep and to dissolve jammed up gunk, grease etc, its also used to free up rusted hinges, bolts and moving parts . You can clean the chain or cables with wd40 (absolute waste of money, WD40 is quite exp) but will need to lube these afterwards.
I agree , using WD40 is the opposite of lubricating. :)
Noted, will try to make a detailed video on valve clearance. As usual it will not be just "how to do" video but will have an added theoretical info.

Oil stores with barrel size drums of open oil, take an empty half litre bottle ask them for 10w-40 and tell them you need a quarter litre. He will fill the bottle and charge you for the quantity

Any local oil store , they have large drums of oil of different grades and quality. You can buy .5 litre in any bottle

Ijaz bahi kitny km k bd chain clean krna chahiya or o_ring chain k lock ko open to ni krna chahiya
Lubing chain : every 500kms
Washing Chain : every 2000kms
These are under normal driving conditions
No need to open sealed o ring chains for cleaning
Better use Diesel instead of kerosene for sealed O-ring chains. Diesel is soft on rubber compared to kerosene

Pr aisay b daikay hay jinhon ny kabi oil nahi kya, pir b sahi chal raha hy. Aur koi regular karta hy, os ki sal mein hi masla kar daita hy.
Is may bohat say variable ho sektay hain, long or continuous running say jis may bike daily 300-400 km chalti hay us may chain bohat jaldi wear out hoti hay chahay aap us ko daily oil bhi karo. Short within city trips may chain lambi chalti hay even without any routine maintenance. Chain agar zayada tight kr dain ya alignment out ho to chain days may khatam ho jati hay.

After how many km we have to do this procedure ?
Well it depends upon how and where you are driving, for long tours with on / offroad, water crossings etc you should do this before & right after the tour. For normal urban commute, you should do this after 3-4K kms with routine maintenance. For rural areas, due to dust/offroad one should do this once a month / 1500-2000kms . Bro, 1 to 2 tight spots in a chain is normal not more than that. thoroughly wash the chain and lube it well. It will stay with you for a long time. Recheck sprockets for unusual wear and tear

Meri yamaha ybz dx k 1st and 2nd gead main clutch release krne per tik tik ki awaz ati hai. I'm doing regular service after every thousand k.m. 2 dafa mechanic k pas gaya hon is awaz ki waja se last time to usne ye keh diya k ye halki si awaz ati hai koi masla nai. What should i do?
Bike abi total 12,000 k.m chali hai or har service per chain setting and oiling b hoti rahi hai.
Front sprocket (grari) shaft pr loose ho sakti hay ya zayada worn out ho gae hay, internal issue nahi lag raha

App ybr ma irridum spark plug recommend ker ta ha ya shock hi sahi ha
May nay dono use kiyae Hain, normal driving or long tours may koi khas faraq nahi laga. The only advantage is the irridium plug last twice as long as the stock copper one. Keep the spark gap at 0.7mm and you are good.

Simple chains Jin may o-rings nahi hotay un may lubricant / grease sealed in nahi hoti or use k saath dry ho jati hay ya beh jati hay. Dirt / moisture bhi Ander ghus jata hay. Is liyae kerosene say soak kr k clean kerna hota hay. Sealed chains may o-rings key waja say dirt / water Ander nahi jata. Kerosene bhi seals ko kuch nahi kehta. Dirt/grime saff kerna zaroori hota hay. Mechanic kyun keray ga itna Kam. Us nay yahi kehna hay k gandi chain bohat achee hoti hay.
