Hi Kerry really love your show but sorry to say this aki talk less and let the story teller do the story juu kuna vitu hua unawa cut off
The WORST thing as a woman you can EVER do is lower your standards. I have done that before and I'm still recovering from it many years later!

1. Find fulfillment in yourself - only God can fill the void in your life
2. Know your purpose; without purpose, you have NO business getting married
3. Marriage is a choice, it's not about feelings. You need capacity(mental, emotional, spiritual, financial) to handle the intricacies of marriage
4. Have a working relationship with God - not just a transactional one! Be open to God pointing out areas in your life that are wanting, so that you can find the much needed healing
5. NEVER GET MARRIED TO PROVE A POINT!
Great lessons learnt from your shared experiences. Thank you Milly, its so evident that God really loves you. Thank you Kerry for the good work. 👍 🙏
@@davidogweno5427 Very true. I thank God He didn't allow me to get married in my 20s even when I really prayed and fasted to be married. I didn't even know my purpose then!
That's it Sir!!!
The feelings need to be there too. It's also about the simple things.
@@themalawiandiner180 I agree but let them not be the foundation you build on ....
when you finish proving the point, kumbe the crowd had left😂❤
Am 61 years old, lived a single married life for the longest time. God has been so good, through and through and am super grateful

💯. My mother did not want me to get married to my choice as he had been married 3 times previously. My mother did not come to my wedding. I finally realised what my mother meant when my husband literally dumped me a few weeks after my mother passed away. I mourn the loss of my mother but not the loss of my marriage.
@@blackbeautifulandsmart2849 you see, not all mother's have good intentions, some are looking for ways to make you cry But some God bless this one
whoever made us believe that marriage is a must in life wronged us big, my mum once said to mi lyfe is not all about marriage there are so many others things to do
That's true it shouldnt make your life stop before getting married but if you have the desire to get married then it's God's will for you to get married
My shosh would tell me this
yeah your mum is one in a million, thank God for her.
Your mum is real. Take her words seriously. But every time you enter in to a relationship, first work on the friendship and take your time in the friendship space before you graduate it to that marriage.,, that is if you really want marriage.
Hi Kerry I’m here to remind you again, please put on subtitles everytime you switch to your language. You’re always the first one to do it🙏
31:20!!!! Have never viewed this as a factor for marriage. And tbh, this is one of the main reasons why divorce is so prevalent in today's society. So happy YT recommended this. I needed it.

A broken engagement is better than a broken marriage.
@@monikawangai8719 and also better to return alive and healthy to your parents than return in a cofin because of physical abuse
Very true. Purpose is very important. God told me so as well. You just don't get into marriage for the sake of love...if you don't have a purpose that love is not enough
Truth. God ordained marriage for His purpose to be fulfilled through the marriage. Husband and wife are mirrors to each other...this is ground for each partner to become more like Christ because of the marriage.
I love it so much when we don't blame others but ran back to God and fully submit to Him
Heey just passed by here and have learnt a lot as a genz
Milly God is too wise to be mistaken, I know He is big enough to carry you through the rest of phases of life, its a matter of time
Thank you for enlightening me and many others
My generation seems to be getting married for the 'gram and the aesthetics, losing sight of what marriage truly stands for. We've underestimated its depth, often entering it for the wrong reasons, only to place the blame on marriage itself. If you're thinking about marriage but your futures and purposes don't align-or worse, if you don’t even know your life’s purpose-perhaps it’s time to pause and reconsider. Otherwise, you and your marriage might just become another statistic, and not a good one.
So so so good. You've summarised my whole story.
When a woman is emotionally driven, she refuses to listen to her intuation. Princess Diana said she knew she was making a huge mistake to get married to Prince Charles
@@mzuribeauty4287listening to your intuition is a skill...that needs cultivating...often the skill of ignoring it is more exercised.
Very true ,I hope its loud enough for the aspirants.
a standing ovation to you, ❤.
I absolutely love that you brought out the fact that serving in church does not equate a REALl-ationship with God. Oooh yeah. !! Alot of us use church service to numb our pain and fill the void with the applause of men.

I love you Millie,i just love your confidence and the way you are open minded
A common thread in several episodes is guests proclaiming christianity,
then proceeding to describe living unrestrained,
followed by heartbreak,
and eventually starting to practise restraint.
I left religion many years ago, but the way I remember it, the ultimate lesson is practise self-control/restraint in order to keep from harming oneself & others (love thy neighbour).
So, several episodes leave me wondering about what appears to be a gap in churches teaching young believers to navigate love/sex/marriage with restraint. (NB, not fear, but knowledge-based restraint)
Love this so much!
Ouf...!
I wish you knew how much it cost to admit that you failed in your morals journey of Christianity. Just in case you are looking for a PERFECT person in religion you are expecting too much. Now that you left religion, have you found a PERFECT person? If and when you do let us know.
Those are called personal choices..
I like this perspective
Thank you to my sweet guest. Weeeeh learnt so much from you. Lets keep having great conversations and hopefully have beautiful marriages in the future.

Even in church we have seen monsters pretending to be God fearing.
@@RebeccaNagawa-tb3un so true....
Kerry should have an episode of what's happening to young girls inside church!!!!
Be careful women, most especially God fearing young women, the evil can dwell in the church, yes demonic influenced men, seeking victims, and we are naively deceived by false charm, pretending, and after you’re trapped by marriage the mask comes off and the evil expands, the real person is released because they no longer have to deceive…they’ve got you (literally told that) afterwards.
Hoped and Prayed things would change many years, but how can two walk together unless they be agreed…the two never became one.
For many years, I knew something was wrong, but did not know what. I received a warning I my spirit before but went ahead with the wedding desiring such, a family, children. I suffered for that error emotionally, spiritually, and when it became physical, I said LORD get me out of here, a prayer I believe the LORD wanted to hear from me long ago, He tried to warn me, I failed to listen as I wanted marriage and family so bad (coming from a family of 10). GOD delivered me that very day.
I’m now at peace, no more emotional abuse, confusion, unrest, evil stares, he plays the victim now, but I no longer care. I wish him no ill will, only that he receives deliverance from demonic oppression. Thanks be to GOD I’m free.
Years later I read an article about demonic influenced persons “narcissists” met 14 out on the 16 characteristics. This topics needs to be addressed in the church.
Thank you Millie, i have gotten alot❤
Glory to God. May God give you His best

You two are just precious. Milly touched a good point the couples that stayed together were in community and accountable to one another. It happened to me in 1990-97….. we ended in divorce and with two kids now 32 & 28!!
My father on the day i married, he had misgivings. I pushed along one year at a time and by year 7. I thought i would either go mad or commit murder. Mine was not malicious but indeferent, not confused, lazy, unadvisable. Head in cloud. I prayed i cried and i walked away. 4 yrs later i met second chance opportunity. Boys were 4 & 8. It was hard not being tempted to walk away because 4 yrs alone with my boys and having established co parenting where i was doing 90% and he 10%.
Lucky the friendship i had fought to keep because i saw my boys dad was just not able to be husband but fatherhood in his capacity was a plus.
When i met new guy. I told ex and we kept friendship and its 24 yrs and an extra child as icing.
