I watched That '70s Show so many times as a kid that I have the unhealthy sense of having grown up with the cast. It's good to see that some of them like Mila apparently turned out really well, as a counterweight to how disturbing Danny Masterson is now
I would say power/fame reveals who we are (and as Mila said she luckily already knew at a young age who she was) but Masterson is also a Scientologist. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Masterson
The whole "going through the machine" feels exactly like being a public school teacher now days. Keyword being public. Except, your pay is crappy, most teachers I know don't get paid during their summers and still have to work hard when we have "time off". All while dealing with this infinite balance of taking disrespect from some kids and all of those behaviors and still trying to be positive. It's incredibly exhausting. You have to WANT to be a teacher to make a full fledge career out of it. I can only imagine if it's the same thing for actors

Funny enough she reminds me of my wife. Part of the reason I fell in love with her is she’s not self centered and genuinely cares about other people and is considerate. Plus she has a fire to her where she can make me so mad that I start laughing. She has fun with even the little things and makes everything fun. I imagine that’s why Ashton married her. She seems like a character for sure.

I love his story about lecturing people on cocaine affecting the heart rhythm. When I was young, I got into a taxi and the driver was making conversation about the hardcore drugs he takes and which ones he uses to go to sleep after driving a taxi all night. I asked him if he'd ever tried a nice chamomile tea instead, and there was an awkward silence for the rest of the journey.
So glad Conan has continued his interviews... He has always been one of the best hosts, and has a great group of guests that you can tell enjoy him. And, Mila Kunis is one of the best guests ever. 😀 She is just so personable and always seems sincere and open... with the same positive attitude and thoughtful composure as Kate Beckinsale and Anna Faris... where they are excellent actors/actresses with a wide range of roles, but always seem like they are just being themselves when talking with others. Here's to Conan for having one of the best shows in any venue. Go Team Coco! 😁
she has a very attractive personality. i always thought she'd be the typical spoiled, entitled hollywood type, especially with the character she played on that 70s show, but she's actually pretty mature, logical, humble, respectful, funny, and well-rounded.
That must’ve been a blast to play someone completely different than herself though. Same with Kutcher, being that lowkey genius airhead guy as Kelso, when in reality he’s smart as hell

I say this all the time. Really glad I grew up before Social Media. When I graduated High School iPhone had just come out. The most "Social Media" thing at the time was MySpace/Facebook which was really mild compared to today's landscape, and only on Computers. People treated other people better back then, honestly. Man shes fantastic. Anyway social media can be terrible but it's also fantastic. So many people have gotten careers/opportunities that they never could have. And hers could also have been even bigger
Mila really got lucky in landing the exact gig she did (well that whole cast did), being in an ensemble cast for a multi-camera sitcom has been for a long time pretty much the best possible acting job you can have as far as freedom. even if you're the lead on a show, you as an actor don't really work all that much in a given week. you'll really only have one "full" day of work in the week, shoot night, otherwise it's just the table reads at the start, and maybe some blocking in the middle of the week (tho many shows use all stand ins for that)

Mila Kunis Real? For sure. I live in SD but way back when That 70s show was new I spent most of my time in LA. I think it's bc she was a young teen when she was on That 70s show so she learned how to talk to the media so young. As a result, she didn't have to go through the awkward existential crisis of editing and tweaking her public personality as an adult.
Liesssss, she was on a show being documented lol when she was like 14. She knows how to sell a product. And had a pretty face. She worked hard and was disciplined. This socialil media purity is not the explaiantion for her success.
Social media would have exposed Ashton and Danny’s behavior much earlier. I think the public would have been critical of the environment that they created around a 14 year old girl.

I watched That '70s Show so many times as a kid that I have the unhealthy sense of having grown up with the cast. It's good to see that some of them like Mila apparently turned out really well, as a counterweight to how disturbing Danny Masterson is now
Her voice is embedded in my brain lol

I just turned 43 and I totally agree about the social media part.
listened to the podcast earlier - WOW! she is a powerhouse of a guest. the last half hour is bonkers hilarious
I already listened to this episode twice on apple podcast and now I’m here watching the video clip 🤣 this is how much I love these chums.
I really want a clip from their conversation about Ukraine to share with people, because we should not stop talking about it and remembering what’s happening 🇺🇦
Mila and Ashton are amazing people. I’m so happy for them
I’m glad I am the last of the generation where social media wasn’t where I was growing up as well.

her being raised by Eastern European parents says alot about her being real, its very true. Since people especially from Eastern Europe are real, not fake and very blunt.
Met her at a gallery opening years back. Really one of the coolest ladies around. 💛
Her and her significant other gotta be the two luckiest people in the world. To meet how they did and have the careers they've had.

After all these years, Mila's still so gorgeous and still so humble.
Could she be any more crushy? Wow. What a gal. Like she said sad more people just aren't more people like.
She does seem very down to earth.
super wise about coming up now vs. back in our day when we could just be kids and make our mistakes without fear of being obliterated online - it felt like everyone was on an even playing field instead of kowtowing to social media appearances. I can't stand that crap
conan in college would be a great series
Such a great idea! I wish he would do this.
I would love to see a Mila & Sona podcast.

“Mmmm my fathers a doctor…” might be the funniest response to someone offering a person cocaine lol 😂… Made me think of “Superbad” when Michael Cera winds up in the room full of guys doing coke…
Mila could still play a teenager role. Ageless.
Put some glasses on lol

Im glad and lucky I was born during the last era without social media, the early 90s.
Conan is right. Mila is genuine and so cute and funny.
I am loving this much more than his talk show format

I love his story about lecturing people on cocaine affecting the heart rhythm. When I was young, I got into a taxi and the driver was making conversation about the hardcore drugs he takes and which ones he uses to go to sleep after driving a taxi all night. I asked him if he'd ever tried a nice chamomile tea instead, and there was an awkward silence for the rest of the journey.
You should have told him the best place to buy it
@@PhilipClyde He looked like he really needed some healthy herbal tea too :) He didn't look healthy at all.
@@caravanlifenz I present to you the majority of people over 25. Glad you make healthy life decisions
It says right here....
My favorite thing about this episode is when Mila kept reminding Conan he ghosted her 😁
the la street references in her first appearance on the podcast is still the stuff of local legend.
I'm glad to have been part of the few who grew up I guess.... the traditional way haha
💯 yes!
@@Johnnygga I saw them both on a train from Bruges to France some years ago.
No security, no entourage, no nothing. Not even first class ticket.
They seemed lovely, and a really good couple.
I ❤ Mila Kulnis (and the pod). She said a lot of real stuff. She always has been personable, as Conan pointed out.
The “I’m so sorry” anecdote about clubbing…. Gurl, I’ve been there. I love that your initial response is like “are you bleeding? I have a solution!”
She is right. It’s a crazy documented world where people are held accountable for things they shouldn’t be.

I say this all the time. Really glad I grew up before Social Media. When I graduated High School iPhone had just come out. The most "Social Media" thing at the time was MySpace/Facebook which was really mild compared to today's landscape, and only on Computers. People treated other people better back then, honestly. Social Media truly has degraded Culture & Society, gen Z people will disagree but they also don't know any better. It's turned everyone into anti-social, self-centered, opinionated narcissists.
I am gen z but I truly agree

Man shes fantastic. Anyway social media can be terrible but it's also fantastic. So many people have gotten careers/opportunities that they never could have. And hers could also have been even bigger
Love her!
6:32 Conan checking his watch or something? dude. 😂
Que bella que es Mila !❤️
Mila really got lucky in landing the exact gig she did (well that whole cast did), being in an ensemble cast for a multi-camera sitcom has been for a long time pretty much the best possible acting job you can have as far as freedom. even if you're the lead on a show, you as an actor don't really work all that much in a given week. you'll really only have one "full" day of work in the week, shoot night, otherwise it's just the table reads at the start, and maybe some blocking in the middle of the week (tho many shows use all stand ins for that)
Lols , love her authenticity 🌒❤️❤️❤️👌👌👌👌100 percent , so glad social media was not around. Kids deserve to be kids, teens, and not have everything documented 💙
I went to highschool with her. She's telling the truth. Absolutely no one cared that she went there. I didn't even find out for 2 years that she went there, haha.

I can somehow picture a young Conan being asked to partake in cocaine and reacting like that, lol.

100% Truth.
Mila Kunis Real? For sure. I live in SD but way back when That 70s show was new I spent most of my time in LA. I stop in a Rite Aide to pick up my mother in laws meds and decide to get a cone, she's behind the counter scooping ice-cream. I don't remember what season it was but it was far enough in that I recognized who she was. My daughter talked to her for a few minutes, her mother worked there and she would go there after making the 70s show and help out. Talk about grounded
