    Duct tape and a manual screwdriver works every time.

    What do you do when you buy a Hiboy S2 Max a month and ten days ago and your city is bad about fixing sidewalks and streets and you scrape the bottom a little but it's enough that the screws which are not inlaid at all become completely bald and you can barely tell there was a place to put the screwdriver at all? I'm pretty sure these screws are also made out of aluminium or some other soft metal because omg that's a lot of damage and it's only a few of them but even one would be enough to prevent me from taking this apart and getting to the tire. I need to take the bottom of the scooter apart. To get to the tire. Which btw, is flush with the hubcap thing so there's no way to fill up the tire without... it's a massively flawed designed xD

      Your only option at this point is likely to try a screw extractor and drill them out. Honestly, I’d go back to the manufacturer on this because it seems like a poor design that they should fix.

      @@ReluctantDIYers It's a terrible design yeah. Problem is I tried contacting the manufacturer and even the email support on their page comes back as not working.
      I think Hiboy is a scam company but as a wise person once said, "Never attribute to malice what is adequately explained with incompetence.", so it could just be whoever designed the site... I don't know.
      I'll try screw extractor though thank you ^_^

    what to do when the stripped screw is like very flushed in the door knob because I have tried stripped screw grip paste and stripped screw extractor bits and and a rubber band and none of them work I'm like out of options.

    • @ReluctantDIYers
      @ReluctantDIYers  Год назад +1

      If you’ve tried all of the options, unfortunately the only option left might be to cut it, which is not easy in the situation you’ve described. This also means you are likely buying a new door knob.

      A screw extractor set would be a good choice in that scenario. Check out this video for those details… please be sure to make fun of me… it is my very first RUclips video. 🤣🤣

    Does this work with a normal screwdriver? Power tools are a little out of reach for me right now XD

    • @ReluctantDIYers
      @ReluctantDIYers  Год назад +1

      If you can apply enough pressure to the rubber band, yes. I’ve done this.
