I have spent WAY too much money with Temu and I have been disappointed in very, very little. They carry items I have bought from Amazon for considerably more money. They do ship quickly and give you $5 if you don't receive it in a timely manner. At least so far, I am very, very happy with them.

Wow, so you're OK with importing things that haven't been subject to the same safety inspections that normal retailers are subject to. You're OK handling lead and cadmium.
When you buy from normal retailers, those retailers are required by law in many countries to eliminate slave labor from their supply chains. But Temu doesn't have to do that. The products on Temu wouldn't pass muster with regular companies which is why they're there. So this means you are OK with slave labor. I hope you sleep at night knowing your goal of saving a little money means literal exploitation.

@@TN-rf7nt stfu Karen or Kevin maybe some of us don't know that information , obviously we just aren't as bored as you to research EVERY DETAILED THING , no, I don't promote slave labor ( as I believe the author's doesn't either again we aren't as bored to spend our lives vigorously researching a company) I want you to prove with a credible source where you found this, education for children is vital part of other countries such as China, Philippines, Japan etc.. , some poorer families may have their kids work , to help survive , and that shouldn't be, but who are you to dictate someone's daily life, you don't know what struggles happen, I don't preferably like BIGO , OR OTHER VIDEO SHARING DATING SITES, they have lines of girls in a wearhouse in front of a camera while they exploit men from our country to send them tons of money, hmmmm yeah again don't down the original author as I'm very sure they don't know what your claiming is happening , with our eyes closed yes that's how we sleep at night. I have ordered over a hundred items from TEMU since New Year Day. Overall I have been pleased. There have been maybe ten items I regret but for the price it's still not bad. Plus I tend to buy multiples.
The pet supplies surpass similar ones from the pet supply store. Art supplies color inks for adult coloring go faster than similar supplies from craft shops. But maybe because I really use brown, greens & red more than other colors. Big eye needles in the tube & open thimbles are great like she said. Overall the items arrived in two weeks.
    Definitely preferable to WISH.

If I had read the detailed description and/or looked at all of the pictures I would have known what to expect. There is usually a picture that shows dimensions. Pay attention to size charts. They run smaller than sizes here. I’ve been a happy shopper. And the prices are crazy affordable. :~)

Also, what are you typing this on and how are you watching this video? Most computers are also made, at least in part, in China. Even a lot of the processed food we eat and medicine we take in the USA come from China (or at least a few of the ingredients come from China). I believe I’ve placed an order every day since I found the site. That’s only been a week or so. But if the number of orders I place is low (it’s not) then the number of items I purchase each time makes up for it. I’ve only received my first shipment so far, and I’ve been pleased with everything. You are totally correct about the danger! I usually add everything I like to my cart, then go away and chill for a while. Later, hopefully, my clearer head will prevail, and I will delete a few things. They try to talk me out of it. When I say to continue checkout, I enter another danger zone. They bring up pages of stuff I may have “forgotten” to order. They got me figured out right away. Somehow they know what I like and didn’t see. 😂 I just have to stay strong. This is so much fun!

I've found that if the item is more close fitting or has fitted arms to go up a size, because I'm busty and have heavy arms. But most stuff fits fine at the normal size. I do pay attention to the measurements, because they are not always consistent from one shop to another. As to shoes, the sizes are all over. Measure your foot length in centimeters and go by that. They always give the centimeters in addition to the size. Quality wise, I'm very happy for the prices! This was great - I love the fact that you don't try to create a gotcha moment or unnecessary drama. I've just started ordering from Temu and so far have been really pleased. I ordered a plastic snake for under a buck that literally pulled up so much disgusting junk in my drains. Did every drain in my house, the stick is a little worn but still good to be used again, and I saved myself hundreds in having a pro come snake them for me.
Loved this because I was leery of the crafting items and your post really helped me see that the items are mostly quality and useable.
I will say to anyone thinking about ordering from Temu, the only thing to be wary of is some brands - for instance, they advertise "Squishmallow" but the stuffies are definitely knock-offs and not nearly the same quality or that unique squishmallow stuffing that is perfect for many autistic people.
Other than that, and the sizing being Chinese and so kind of hit and miss for US (esp plus size), I've enjoyed shopping there.
Two problems I've found as other comments have mentioned: Some stuff is priced so low that you order it even if you REALLY don't need it. I have so many cool pieces of costume jewelry...and I don't wear jewelry. LOL. I'll give them to my kids who have the same taste (goth meets hello kitty meets wicca), but seriously, should not be buying that stuff! And number two, if something doesn't work out, when you go to return, if you used a coupon, it's just so little money you'll get back for the time it takes to do the return, you end up just keeping the item a lot of times. As much as my local Buy Nothing group will love the things I got that don't fit, it's still wasted money. Admittedly, both of these are ME problems and not Temu's but I'm just warning you in advance to be prepared to say, "oh yeah, that commenter was SO right, I do that too" ;-). As long as you accept this as "entertainment" fees for an enjoyable shopping experience...you're still probably coming out way ahead of what you'd have paid at a Brick and Mortar, or even on Amazon.
For anyone used to Amazon's prime shipping, though, the wait between ordering and getting is SUPER LONG. Not gonna lie, we're spoiled rotten, but if you need something quickly, Amazon or a local store is the best option. Just saying.

Instead of saying wow that's cheap ask why it's so cheap. China is known for slave labor and inhumane working conditions. Yes the stuff is cheap because the people who are forced to make these trinkets are paid little to no money. Do you think that the things you buy from them have been ethically made, did they pay their workers , did they clean up any environmental damages they caused. The answer is likely no. You get what you pay for. Cheap might be nice but when do we draw the line, at what point do we stop and ask, if it's that cheap how do they continue to stay in business. Everything has a cost, how much is up to you.

You're right to wonder. Plastics, rubber, and ceramics manufactured in China should always be tested for lead. The tests aren't cheap, so I just avoid those products. What's helpful is if you're buying those products here in the states from craft stores (good examples are JoAnn and Michael's,) they'll often have a warning on the package saying it's for decorative purposes only and/or that it's not suitable for children under 14. Outside of California, which has strong laws about toxicity in consumer products, this warning is a clue that the item likely contains lead. Your county health department should have an environmental health department, and they may be able to answer questions about your concerns.

I love TEMU! I have ordered hundreds of dollars worth of craft items, diamond art kits, shoes, lights, patio items and clothing. Have not been disappointed with anything. Always comes on time and nothing was broken. One item was missing and they promptly refunded to my card, that day. What more could you want?

Temu is headquartered in Shanghai China. I am choosing to Defund China while they are choosing to attack America and our values.

I'm wary of Temu. The first time I heard of it seemed one or two days before I found that ads were EVERYWHERE. I don't know how long they've been in business, but I'd be very curious to know how they or whomever is bankrolling their North American rollout

I've ordered several things from TEMU. My "reviews " would be similar to yours. Every time I get my package, it looks like it went through a lot, but they tape it securely. They tend to package things in a very insecure way, but I don't think I've had anything bent or broken when I receive the order. I also have learned to check carefully for dimensions, a few things I've ordered were much smaller or felt flimsier than I expected, but, like you, I hadn't paid enough attention so it's my fault if not what I expected.

Sorry, I've been avoiding Temu like the plague just because I no how China operates. Unless these companies hire someone to inspect quality manufacturers will through in garbage products or rip you off completely like Aliexpress did to me. However, some products are decent. I think it's all about knowing the manufacturer or supplier. Even on a dollar scale you need to protect not just yourself but other customers as well. Aliexpress never believed me when I reported fake products, and told me to take it up with the seller. As for other companies like wish and shein it's the same knock off products you're just fishing for who can ship it to you cheaper. Still gambling on quality. Shein I think is the worst copying and stealing art from artists. This might not vug other customers, but for an artist it feels dirty seeing them stealing like that without even asking for permission. That's my rant. If anyone can prove me wrong feel free to do so.

When an item you ordered (or you’re going to order) goes out of stock, if you click on the picture it brings you to the page and says it’s sold out BUT if you click on the picture on that page for details it will bring up the picture you originally saw. The weeder ball is now sold at dollar tree as well. Yes they give you a 5 dollar credit if order is not delivered in the time frame they say. I got mine a day late and got a 5 dollar credit.

There also a function offered for items that are out of stock. You can click the "notify me" button when it comes in stock.

@@2degucitas I like that idea. Unlike Amazon you wait months for something to get back in stock only later to find out it's never coming back in stock.

I ordered a cutting Matt, who ever packaged mine folded it in half to get it in the bag. It had a Crease LOL unusable.. . it was the only damaged thing. Glad to see yours arrived in perfect condition! Everything else I ordered was just what I expected it to be!

Even if u bought from an American retailer, 9 times out of 10 it was still made in China. Might as well save money with the way this economy is. I bought wireless headphones from Temu for $4 instead of $30 on Amazon.

Make sure to read product descriptions. Many items I have bought are way smaller than I expected. Some are super tiny.

There have been a lot of warnings about fake (counterfeit) collectibles, not only on Temu but also on Amazon, eBay, and even Etsy, and the way you tell is reading the product description carefully and keeping a measuring tape on hand so you can have a visual of the actual measurement. The fakes are almost always smaller than the real thing.
