- Deities are the different Principles of the unmanifest Supreme God who perform the various functions in the Universe. Deity Dattatreya or Deity Datta includes the Principles of Creation (Brahma), Sustenance (Vishnu) and Dissolution (Mahesh) and their respective Divine Energies. The Datta Principle is one of the main Principles of God which helps to eliminate the distress caused by dissatisfied departed ancestors who have unfulfilled desires.
The Shri Dattaguru mantra (chant) - ‘Shri Gurudev Datta’ is a potent mantra (chant) that helps to remove distress caused by departed ancestors and helps them gain momentum in their onward journeys in the afterlife. Due to the spiritual energy generated through the Shri Dattaguru mantra (chant), problems such as addictions, marital disharmony, eczema, family discord, financial problems, problems related to not being able to have children or having miscarriages, not doing well in exams, etc. are alleviated.
The way a chant is chanted is very important. For this reason, in this video, the chant is chanted according to spiritual science, with the intonation, sound and pace which give maximum Divine consciousness and positive energy. SSRF in conjunction with the Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay’ (University of Spirituality) is conducting spiritual research on how the chant should be pronounced so as to generate maximum positivity, and as per the times, we upload updated versions of the chant.
Some people have devotion towards a particular Deity, for example, Shri Dattatreya, so chanting that particular Deity’s Name - such as the Shri Dattaguru mantra (chant) Shri Gurudev Datta, helps to evoke spiritual emotion, and one can get different spiritual experiences associated with that Deity.
Since chants are associated with different Deities, they help to bestow positive energy and provide spiritual protection. However, to progress spiritually, one needs to perform the correct spiritual practice as per spiritual science or get the guidance of a true Guru (Spiritual master). To begin with, one can chant the Name of God as per the religion of his or her birth or Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevaya (because as per spiritual science, the Shri Krishna Principle is most active in the present times).

You can do sitting down at a place for 10-15 min with concentration and rest of it you can complete with daily activities such as brushing teach, bathing, eating etc. You can also download this chant and play in your room. It can be played at low volume also.

The Datta chant is the chant that can help us alleviate the ancestor problems that one can suffer from in life, we recommand to chant it daily for 2hours during the activities and in concentration if possible. We have not yet done the recording of the Vishnu chant but you can chant the Universal chant that can help you in your spiritual progress and reducing the effect of negativity in life. Water started coming out of my eyes and nose while doing salt water remedy with this chant

It could be a sign of spiritual impurity or negativity being coming out in the form of water from eyes and nose. It's a good sign, shows that remedy is working. You may do it at least once every day to get maximum benefit of it. You will feel much lighter and better.

this is my first time trying. It's not as easy as I imagined. I can only stay 15 minutes. I hope next time I can be full.
Dear Kristin, warm welcome to SSRF. It's nice that you are trying and making efforts to chant. 15 min in the beginning is very nice effort on your part. Please continue with 15 minutes and and you will feel more comfortable after some days. Then you can try to increase to 20 minutes, after some days you may want to increase again till you reach the 30 minutes or any duration you aim for. You can pray to God / Lord Datta, before starting the chanting session, to help you. Chanting vs listening, we recommend chanting (repeating in mind) to get the benefit of the chant. When listening we should try to chant in mind also. It is recommended to chant sitting down for 15-20 min initially and increase it to one hour daily and chant along with daily activities. Warm Regards

In the current times, almost everyone is affected by ancestral trouble. We may face difficulties such as not getting married, not having children, not finding a job despite all the required qualifications etc. Such obstacles could be due to ancestral trouble. Shri Gurudev Datta is the chant that helps our ancestors move on in their afterlife and creates a subtle protective sheath around us.
This chant is recommended for all. You may like to start this chant by sitting down chanting for 10-15 minutes initially and increasing it slowly. Dear Guan, Deity Dattatreya is that aspect of God which invokes the combined principles of creation, sustenance and dissolution. The Deity associated with the sustenance principle is Deity Narayan or Vishnu. This yellow ring is His weapon called Sudarshan Chakra.

Isn't the correct pronounciation "Shree" instead of as you pronounced as "Sree" and is it pronounced as "Gurudeva" or "Gurudev" as written on the screenboard?
And can this mantra alone lead to moksha or is there a moksha mantra that liberates ancestors and oneself from the cycle of rebirth, maybe the "Hare Rāma - Hare Krishna" mantra?

@user-we7cj1gf3d, it is pronounced Gurudev but sometimes when you go to the next word there is a slight 'a' sound. In chanting or japa, pronunciation is important but faith and devotion are more important. This is in contrast with mantra recitation, where proper pronunciation is very important.
The Shree Gurudev Datta chant gives momentum to ancestors to move on in the afterlife, depending on the intensity of their distress, and mainly it protects you. For your own spiritual growth, we recommend chanting Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.

Also Mahamrityunjaya and Lalita Sahasranamam and also Aditya Hridya Stotram. But I tend to often change the mantras and it is quite too much for me and I have no time left. So my question is, how many mantra should be chanted and listen to and which one should I choose or leave behind, please give an advice?
