Mad dog is so stupid sometimes. He's making huge generalizations about the average baseball fan. It's just so ridiculous. I'm an average fan and I care about OBP and on-base streaks. Mad dog is a very smart person, but he got it wrong here.
Terrific Troll there is a art in taking really close pitches that are barely off the plate. There is also a art to taking a really good looking slider that is off the plate. stfu clown
A player can hit or have obp of .250 or less while getting a hit/on base each of 162 games. A pitcher can walk a dozen & still get credit for a no hitter. Dimaggio's only gets easier to break if it's something that no one notices. Maybe it was less noticeable (big deal) in 1941 & that's why he was able too go that far. Ted Williams' record has been having the same weight since.
Brian Kenny is so reaching here! Obp streak!? Dog has every right to go nuts! Can't compare that to joe D hitting streak !? There's a reason no one hasn't come close to 56 N 70 years!!
No ones come close? Besides that whole statement being asinine and I won't even say why it's so obvious, perhaps you've heard of a baseball player named Pete Rose!!!!! Pete Rose had a 44 game hit streak!! 44, so right there your statement has no validity
Russo: "Against the pirates, he went 0 for 12 with 3 walks, yet you're basically gonna go nuts on a series against the Pirates where he couldn't hit the ball out of the infield?" I'd rather him do that than go 0 for 15... or even 2 for 15... Honestly, 0 for 12 with 3 walks (.200 OBP) would be better than even just going 2 for 12 without a walk, if all he's doing is hitting singles.
I don’t agree with Dog all the time but I never agree with Brian Kenny he’s a damn nerd fool like runs scored junk. He had the 98 Yankees, 75 Reds on his list as great teams which he’s correct, however he had the 01 Seattle Mariners & the 69 O’s on there you can’t be called a great team when you don’t walk away from that season as World Series champion.
B Kenny is absolutely clueless sometimes
I remember this.
As an Angels fan, I Remember Orlando Cabrera’s streak of reaching base 63 straight games was a pretty big deal. That was in 2006.
I worked at a newspaper in 2006, I remember it being a big deal.
Luv when these two guys argue, mist watch
Kenny wants his point to be agreed with so bad...he thinks it should be common fact who the best hitter is
So if millar had a 57 game hit streak, would it discredit the idea of the hit streak?
Mad Dog: Look at the 1949 World Series
He's right on base percentage matters but the hitting streak is way better.

So lets give the hitter credit when a pitcher cant find the plate or hits you with the ball?..Go away clown

One of the hardest things to do in sports is get a hit. This debate is not close
WHY ARE THEY SHOUTING!!
LOUD NOISES!!!
Hurts my ears!
+Don Suomi Morons like Russo think that volume is more important than facts.
Gilbert godfried debates a guy with a calculator

I love Dog but that old school baseball thinking is so cringe

Dog, are you kidding me?? You are REALLY and TRULY questioning Ted Williams' as a hitter??????????????
I don't think I've ever heard a dumber take than saying Joe Dimaggio was a better hitter than Ted Williams.
3:15 lmao
This is still funny.
Brain Kenny is so annoying!!!!!!
GET LOUD!!!
Brian Kenny is a joke!!!
William's was a lot better than DiMaggio
Brian Kenny !!! ⚾️
