Great idea! Now just have to hunt those o-rings down. Actually, I can just find some packaging foam and stuff it in there as well. Should serve the same purpose albeit less elegant.

I have tried using foam, but it doesn't work as well. I put it behind the planetary gears, to "press" them together. Give it a go though, you never know. You should be able to find a set of o-rings in a DIY, or hobby store. Have fun! Also, check out the video on how to make a limited slip differential! I will be posting it this morning. :)

So the cheep M3 m4 size bolt kit for a 1/10 scale rock crawler I bought on Amazon. has o rings that fit perfectly in the Miniz... Thank you so much for the brilliant solution to locking the differential!

wha size are the o rings u used?

I cannot remember off the top of my head. I have an assorted set of various sizes, I just picked the ones which best fit.
