A stunned Pádraic, aided by his sister Siobhán (Kerry Condon) and troubled young islander Dominic (Barry Keoghan), endeavours to repair the relationship, refusing to take no for an answer. Just got a record breaking 13 minute ovation at the Venice Film Festival!! The crowd had to be shooed out for Olivia Wilde's film!! So, it MUST be a great one!!!! I read Colin may finally get to win his first Oscar for this!!
Best actor for Farrell, and Best Screenplay, too.
The films isn’t diverse enough for the Oscars
That would be great to hear - I hope it finally gets the Oscar so! It would he lovely to see an Irish setting movie win also about Irish ppl.
And yet when it's on at the local cinema there won't be any. That's all nonsense. Makes me want to see it less, not more. Utter foolishness.
@@DenkyManner yes true - I don’t allow critics tell me what is or isn’t good because I’ve found some great movies slammed by critics. Let’s hope it’s good but ultimately we’ll be the judge of it.
I'm so excited for this, they are a fantastic duo!!! Their work in In Bruges was incredible.
Dialogue in that movie is phenomenal lol!
Colin Farrell reuniting with Barry Keoghan after The Killing of A Sacred Deer really sets our hearts on fire, oh yeah baby!
Just awesome how far Colin Farrell has come in his career. Awesome to see him in the roles he’s choosing now.
And Gleason has just always been an amazingly gifted actor.
This one looks like a real winner.
Ugh those beautiful accents, the beautiful terrain, this is definitely going to be a favorite of mine. The mood seems so real and idk.
Yes yes a thousand times yes.....I wonder if they'll be filming MIDGETS !
This looks really good... 2 great actors keeping it simple
Looks darkly comedic. Since Colin gave up the role of superhero in Hollywood and found his true calling as an independent film darling he's just got better and better and Brendan Gleeson being his brilliant best. Can't wait to see this!!!
He was just in Batman. But yes, he was doing character work under heavy prosthetics, not being the bland white guy hero which was a total dead end for him creatively, though I'm sure it paid off his mortgage a few times over on several houses.
I went to see it tonight and I was blown away by it.
Very well filmed and it got me by surprise more then once, I’m a filmmaker and didn’t expect this to be better then the trailer.
It’s one out of a few good Irish movies made over the last few years.
Many people who don’t understand what it is like to live on an island are going on about this incredible movie in a bad light that was so well put together with reflecting issues of living away from the world and how one can go mad to find ways to entertain oneself on a small Irish island.
Congratulations to the filmmakers for once with this great blue moon in light of the list of very bad movies we are getting today.
Amazing dark but funny movie.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Can't wait to see this. Martin Mcdonagh is amazing. Stellar cast again.
Trailer looks amazing. But just knowing this is the same creative team that gave us In Bruges has me sold.
In Bruges is one of my top 3 films. I've really enjoyed everything he's done since Six Shooter. I just wish Ralph Fiennes was in this too. Mcdonagh is one of few directors who's film I'd see knowing nothing about.
My favorite director is back 😍😍😍😍😍
Can't wait !
Love the actors and director.
They will not disappoint
I love Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleason …both amazing actors! 😊❤️❤️🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
I cant waith for this to get released in germany! i LOVE every single McDonagh film!
could not be more excited for this film
I'm going to see this film on Friday- soo excited!
It's always a delight to see colin with his weird eyebrow thing
Looks excellent.
So excited for this
I loved Brendan Gleeson in Six Shooter
loved them in the movie "In Bruges" cant wait to see them together again. wish this could somehow be a tie in to that film
Would love to see pat shortt in more movies but this looks brilliant
I can’t wait to see this film ❤️❤️❤️
Why does Colin look like Sam Rockwell in this?
It's the downwards eyebrows.
Must see!!
The alcoves!!
Davy Fitz does a great parish priest ; )
This looks amazing.
This and The Whale I cannot wait for
Bit of a Craggy Island vibe
Looks like a fun watch!
I will be buying a ticket 100% In Bruges is a classic
What about the Vietnamese?
At first I thought why does it remind me of Into the West?
disney+?
Yes coming soon in February 2023
Take superb actors.
Set them in a superb landscape.
And at some point, copy-paste an ugly and distressing image onto one of the most beautiful landscapes of the island.😡
And say then that you want to make
"one of the most beautiful irish films we could possibly make."
Out of Bruges
The Batman 2: Joker and Penguin Take Dublin
collin and barry again?? yahoo~
Funny
First
A movie for old people looks like
Yeah, not enough mindless action and cgi, right?
Yep one for old people with a young mind instead of the other way round
Can’t criticize this Irish movie or the locals go mad.
Are you like 12?.
I'm genuinely trying to understand the appeal to this movie, it looks mind numbingly boring. The 'he's not talking to him anymore' would be entertaining for like 10 minutes max and then it would get old.
If you have seen In Bruges and 3 billboards then you know that there will be much more to this film. I applaud anyone who doesn't give away the entire film in the trailer. 100% worth a shot given the history of the wrtiter/director and these wonderful actors.
It's called art
At the Venice flim festival it got a 13 minute standing ovation
@@bobbymercer77 exactly anyone familiar with mcdonaghs work would not say this
Assuming that watching this movie would just be watching one lad not talking to another is like assuming that the Shawshank Redemption would be 2hrs of watching a lad sitting in a prison cell 😂
Awful tripe
One thing we Irish are considered, is stubborn.
