Your video is very helpful, thank you. My question is, I did not build my website someone else did but I can make changes to it. On the last site update my header changed to one I had made as a possibility header but never used, the admin for my website had been sick for months and I have been unable to contact them. Is there a way for me to go in and fix my header myself or does it need to be done only by the person who designed the website for me?
Hi Lonna, it really depends on the theme you're using. One sure fire way to do it is to use a page builder like Elementor Pro (get.profitable.tools/elementor -- affiliate) to create a new header, it should work regardless of the theme you're using, but definitely test on a staging site and always have a backup.
I have already built my website but want to change the design of the header (it's the standard Word Press header at the moment) without building the website again. Is this possible?
Hi Dave, thanks for another great explanation video. At the end you said it certainly has some advantages to make certain changes in the theme itself (rather than in the page builder). Always wondered what these advantages are... speed or lesser script? Could you please expand a bit on what those advantages are? Thanks!
HI Dave. Thanks for the video. At 11:15 you mention doing something to the one box (something about a header) but the video zooms out - it's a bit unclear what we need to here. Could you explain?
It had to do with HTML coding to take care of something that was not done by default in Elementor Pro. I was curious as well as to what he did and why. I think it might be with how Google picks up/crawls the info contained in the header.
Hi Dave, thanks for your video. I have a problem, On the HOME page I have the menu, but on the secondary pages, I don´t and I can´t find the way to do that, do you have a video about how to include the main menu on the secondary pages? Thanks a lot.
Hey Monica, Make sure you have the header enabled on the page you're working on. If you're using a page builder, sometimes they will have a "landing page" mode which will remove the header. Depending on the theme, this is usually found in the right hand sidebar (when you click Edit under the page). Look for Page Template or a checkbox that lets you turn the header on and off. Good luck!
Hi, Dave -- As usual, another outstanding tutorial. What puzzles me is how you would go about 'Adding Display Conditions' for display across the site. For example, if I only wanted the Header to display on the Home page... how would I keep it from showing up on other pages? How would the 'Conditions' read? Dave, thanks again for this terrific video, as I am now seeking to rebuild a header for a site.
Unless im doing something wrong, this is out of date. Clicking on the pencil to edit the site logo nolonger gives you nearly as many options. Only the option to upload the image.
Hey Isaac, that’s called a Sticky header. Most themes will include this as a premium feature. The theme I’m using in the video, Astra has info on how do it here: wpastra.com/docs/sticky-header-pro/?bsf=1953 (this is an affiliate link btw!)
A client bought a theme and has tasked me with customising it. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the theme creator's logo off of the damn header lol this is driving me nuts.
Sorry, I haven’t heard of that theme. If there isn’t a setting in the customized you’ll need to use some CSS. I would contact the developer for assistance. They should be able to help you.
The title of the video is misleading. That is why you have so many dislikes, regardless of the knowledge you have demonstrated. You should add" ...with Elementor" in the title. This is not what I am looking for.
Brilliant stuff. Thanks a lot man. One of the better videos I've come across trying to figure this stuff out.

Hey, It won't let me press saved templates its asking me for the pro version, is this because of the version of elementor I am using?
