Love the video mr grimaldi thank you for repairing it for me really appreciate it when i first opened the top there was stuff all in that bowl i had spent an hour or two sucking all that out awsome video
I think they used them on interval manifold straight sixes and 151 4cyls. It was an attempt to improve hp while maintaining emissions. This is GM's version of the Weber two barrel used on later model pintos and mustangs with 2300 4 cyl engines. The GM version is more sophisticated because of emissions requirements at that time.
A very good video! I need some advice on something. I recently bought an 1986 chevy truck with a V6 4.3. It has a propane system on it and the original carburetor is no where to be found. I have a 78 quadrajet that I just rebuilt and would like to install it. the truck intake manifold is the original spreadbore quadrajet carburetor. Also this engine has the electronic spark control distributor without the vaccum advance. if I put this 78 carb I got on it do you think it will work just fine?
While your working on it, my fleet of delivery trucks had every door hinge com apart at 80k miles, these were delivery trucks that were shown no love, but you might want to give them a looking over before you sen this one on the way.

👍
I like carb videos. I even recognised everything...
That`s 1/2 of a Quadrajet.....
homotorsports haha... it's a Rochester twin barrel
Looks like a Rochester Varajet....Emission control standards suck...Those guys really didn't look at the big picture..Just my opinion.
