POEM performed on India's youngest child of 6 years-Dr.Anil Arora

Doctors of Sir Gangarm Hospital performed an endoscopic procedure called POEM. (Per Oral Endoscopic Myotomy) to remove obstruction in food pipe in the six-year-old child. The challenge for doctors is to do the novel procedures in a patient having very low weight and of the young age of 6 years but doctors succeeded to perform. The procedure took one and half hours and the child's obstruction and blockage at the junction of the food pipe and stomach were immediately relieved.
