This is fantastic!! I love character design myself but I’ve always had trouble with defining the ways to go about it. Plus I’ve always kind of struggled to utilise shape language in my anime-inspired artstyle. I reckon I’ll have more of a go at practicing body types for a start :D best of luck for your channel!!

I plan to make my own manga/webtoon and I've struggled coming up with character designs. Picrew has been a real lifesaver for me to create design inspo and try different things 😌

Saying "keep your designs simple" is oversimplying the issue. Genshin Impact designs can be complex because they're 3D models. How simple and complex a design is depends on the medium, how often you're drawing a character, etc. Compare the characters from 2D Disney movies to 3D ones, Mirabel's dress has a complicated embrodiery pattern on it because the artists just had to make that texture once, likewise, the Carpet in Aladdin was only able to work because he was computer animated, and in the TV show, where he was animated traditionally, his design was heavily simplified. So yes, if you plan on drawing a character over and over again for a webtoon, or plan on tradionally animating them, make their design simple.
Also, Genshin designs still do things like limiting color pallets.
